This attack on our Young Water Protectors is in freezing weather. Our 7th Generation is spiritually strong with Prayers, Ceremonies and Faith in the Prophecies of our Ancient Ones, who walked the Americas before the predestined coming of the Europeans.
Our 7th Generation is dedicated, through the peaceful prayers of our Elders to end the destruction of our Water of Life and Future Generations. While this will significantly raise the global price of oil, there are other places on Mother Earth more conducive to the Petroleum production needed to support a graceful transition to Green Energy, rather than the extreme drilling, fracking, and the massive infrastructure required to support unneeded petroleum production!
The reduction of oil production here in the Americas, and other places where it does not make sense will drive up the price of oil, but that will move us toward green energy more quickly.
One of the biggest challenges, not often viewed in this sense, is that the most significant North American business and contributor to Climate Change is the Military Industrial Complex. This reality clearly reflected in this Article 9 of the International Treaty to Protect and Restore Mother Earth. These Economic Interests are the ones behind all of the injustice at Standing Rock!
"Article 9 We, the Members of the Human Family, commit to waging peace with the understanding that war is the greatest consumer of oil and energy, the largest contributor to ecological destruction and the most destructive force among the Human Family. War benefits only the powerful, the wealthy and the weapons industry. We will make peace a global priority, refuse to fund war machines, refuse to participate in war-making and stop glorifying war. We call to eliminate the weapons industry that lives off the misery of the victims among our relatives.
Through the full spiritual awareness of the Oneness of the Human Family, the elimination of prejudice in all forms, anything that causes a human being or society to feel superior to another, the realization of World Peace is established."
