Young Warriors at Haskell Indian Institute, 1947

In 1947, with fellow warrior hunting with welding rods magically transformed into spears on the Campus of the Haskell Indian Institute in Lawrence, Kansas, where my father and mother first met in 1932.

Black-and-white photo of two young shirtless boys standing barefoot on a sunlit path before a large brick building, one in shorts holding a rod, the other in rolled-up trousers.
