Our heartfelt thanksgiving to the Community of Wakpala, the People of Chief Gall and to the more than 300 friends and relatives, from around the world, who supported the Wakpala Water Protector Basketball Court and Playground!
Funds were raised to build the Basketball Court and Playground and to support the Wakpala Water Protectors Wopila Ceremony. As well, a family area is being planned around the playground, so parents and grandparents can enjoy being with their children and grandchildren.
As well, 40,000 Bitshares and a year's funding has been given to the Wakpala Spiritual Unity Society to host monthly feasts for the Wakpala Community. The Bitshares are an investment in the future of Wakpala's young people.
As well, our great gratitude to our Organizational Supporters and Donors, the United Religions Initiative (URI), the Pachamama Alliance, the Wakpala Spiritual Unity Society, the Shift Network, Four Worlds International Institute, the Compassion Games and the great team at UNIFY.
We also want to give a special thanksgiving to "Mary"! In the last hour of funding for the Facebook Fundraiser "Mary" stepped up and donated over $6000.00 to take us over the top of our goal of $18,600.00.
