With Longtime Brothers at the AISES Leadership Conference

At the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Leadership Conference with my long-time Hopi and Navaho brothers, Alvin Trujillo and Dr. Bob Whitman. This year's Leadership Conference was held at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in Chandler, AZ. Standing behind brother Bob is my daughter, Lisa Brown Jordan. The ribbon shirt that brother Bob is wearing was made and gifted to him by my mother and father. Because brother Bob wears it on only very special occasions, after many years, it looks almost new!

It was very inspiring to be with almost 250 AISES Seventh Generation Leaders, Elders, Board, Staff and Corporate supporters from across the US and a new contingent from Canada. This September, in Denver, AISES will celebrate their 40th year anniversary, as a Sacred Society and extended Family that promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, grounded in the cultural and spiritual foundations of Indigenous Peoples!
