With the great unity of all concerned, we were able to raise $15510.00 to build a new Basketball Court for the Community of Wakpala. This new Court is an honor of their 7th Generation Water Protectors and the first Community, on Standing Rock where the first Water Protector action started the Mni Wiconi Movement. This Movement had and is continuing to have Global Impact.
As well, the District of Walpala has provided additional funds, Administrative Coordination by Laura Grijalva and Greg Sherwood and volunteer labor by the Community of Wakpala!😀😀😀😀
Funds were also raised to build a new Wakpala Playground and Family Park. This new development will iniated first thing in the Spring!
