The Vision of Vine Deloria Jr., Standing Rock, and Yankton Sioux Tribes, is Being Actualized!
Our goal at the Yankton Sioux Tribe (YST), through the leadership of the Grandmothers and Young Women of the Brave Heart Society, and other respected Ihanktowan Relatives, is to have 75% of the eligible voters on the YST, registered and ready to vote, within two years.
Many other Indigenous Tribes and Nations in Canada and the United States are moving in the same direction. By 2020, we will be the deciding vote, in many elections, just like Dekshi Vine Deloria Jr. envisioned and shared with us many years ago.
Our greatest challenge in retaking our spiritual leadership in Turtle Island is our disunity. Even though much of this disunity was caused by colonists, who tried to divide and conquer, many of those same colonists are becoming our strong Allies, as well as, other relatives of "Color!"
Through our unification as Indigenous Peoples, Tribes and Nations, as prophecied and our growing numbers of strong Allies, as demonstrated by our spiritual victory at the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. As stated by the Keeper of our White Buffalo Calf Pipe, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, "Now there are Standing Rocks everywhere on Mother Earth!
As well, It is very, very important to remember that physical surrender does not mean spiritual surrender! We have just completed a 500 year Sun Dance and we are spiritually strong and more unified than ever before and we are growing stronger, with every new sunrise!
As well, we know well, the treachery of the Canadian and US Political and Governance Systems, and we know way better to fall into the trap of partisan politics that have lots of thunder but no rain!
Anyone in 2020 that wants the deciding vote of our Indigenous Peoples and Allies, whatever their party, better have firmly and formally signed on to advance the Agenda of our Indigenous Peoples and Allies of the Human Family, in each voting district that we hold the deciding vote.
It won't long before we have the capacity to decide who is the Prime Minister of Canada, the President of the United States, and every other elected office, where we hold, the deciding vote. That you Dekshi Vine Deloria for your vision and guidance so many years ago! We heard you, loud and clear! But this is just the beginning, wait to see where we are in 2030!
