FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle Joins AI for Peace as an Official Partner
Indigenous-led Union brings the sacred wisdom and spiritual unity of the Americas to the 44-day global Compassion Game
MINNEAPOLIS, August 8, 2026 — The Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle is joining AI for Peace as an official partner in Proving Peace Is Possible, a 44-day global Compassion Game beginning August 8 and leading to September 21, the United Nations International Day of Peace.
The initiative is mobilizing people worldwide through prayer, compassionate action, cooperation, consultation, and peacemaking. Its goal is to help make September 21 a genuine Global Pause—a day when war and violence cease, humanitarian space opens, and people everywhere choose peace and nonviolence.
The Union will encourage prayer, ceremony, Talking Circles, compassionate service, intergenerational participation, environmental restoration, and cooperation among Indigenous Peoples and allies.
Hereditary Chief Phil Lane Jr., Chairperson of the Union and Compassion Games International and a founder of AI for Peace, welcomed the partnership.
“The Union carries a sacred vision of peace, unity, and the restoration of Mother Earth. The joining of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle represents the spiritual reunion of the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas and our shared responsibility to the Human Family. AI for Peace carries this vision forward by bringing our collective intelligence, compassion, and spiritual wisdom into service to life.”
The Union’s journey is connected to the Prophecy of the Reunion of the Condor and Eagle, which began in Cochabamba, Bolivia, on March 21, 1970, and continued at the Islands of the Sun and Moon at Lake Titicaca in July 1971.
On March 21, 2023, following sacred Equinox ceremonies in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico, the First Council of the Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle was unanimously elected through a spiritually based, nonpartisan process. The gathering established the Union’s Sacred Vision, covenants, agreements, guiding principles, and foundational documents.
On October 28, 2023, the Eighth Fire was ceremonially ignited in Hidalgo, Mexico, renewing the call for Indigenous Peoples and allies to choose unity, reconciliation, peace, and responsibility to Mother Earth.
The Union gathered again in Palenque in March 2024. Guided by the Reunion of the Condor and Eagle and the Lighting of the Eighth Fire, the Union joined with the National Council for the Development of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Four Worlds International Institute to ignite an Indigenous- and Ally-Led Global Peace Movement.
This became the First Proposal within the Ten Proposals for Unprecedented Unified Action to Unite Humanity and Restore Mother Earth. It called for a planetary peace movement rooted in Indigenous wisdom and spiritual leadership, with the active participation of allies worldwide.
The proposal called for strengthening intertribal and international alliances, advancing Indigenous rights and wisdom, protecting Mother Earth, cultivating peace and reconciliation, and convening World Peace Gatherings. AI for Peace and the 44-day Compassion Game represent a new stage in the unfolding of that vision.
The Union teaches that peace must begin within and grow through right relationships among individuals, families, communities, nations, the Human Family, and Mother Earth. Its principles affirm that healing is necessary for lasting transformation, everything is interconnected, and sustainable development requires vision, unity, participation, justice, spiritual balance, and a moral foundation.
The Condor represents the Indigenous Peoples and traditions of South America, while the Eagle represents those of North America. The Hummingbird and Quetzal honour the Peoples and sacred traditions carried throughout Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and the connecting regions of the Americas. Together, they form a Hoop of Many Hoops, united in diversity and dedicated to peace and the well-being of future generations.
The Union joins a growing circle of AI for Peace partners, including Compassion Games International, ProSocial World, Four Worlds International Institute, Continental Indigenous Council, One World, UNITY EARTH, Evolutionary Leaders Partners, HubCast International, We The World, Pathways To Peace, Global Silent Minute, May Peace Prevail On Earth International, Peace One Day, Empowerment Institute, Earth Mother Network, Indigenous Wisdom Institute, Great Transition Stories, NewStories, Brand Earth, TEEM Labs, and UNITED EARTH NETWORKS.
The 44-day Compassion Game begins during the August 8 Global Peace Activation and Being Minneapolis gathering and continues through September 21. Participants will pray, serve, build relationships, support peacebuilders and affected communities, restore Mother Earth, and invite people and organizations worldwide to support a global ceasefire and day of nonviolence.
The central question is simple but profound: Can humanity organize its collective intelligence and compassion to help bring about one day, September 21, when war and violence stop for 24 hours and peace is given a chance?
