My grandson, Thomas Lane Cadotte, is number 34. Thomas is the grandson of my cousin/brother Wilfred Cadotte Jr. Will is my oldest cousin and was a natural athlete. His father, Wilfred Sr., is my father's brother.
After my grandmother, Lyma Deloria, died from tuberculosis, Dekshi Wilfred, who was three when adopted by Fred and Elma Cadotte, who had no children. Dekshi Wilfred was a great athlete, as well.
Dekshi Wilfred played on the same Wakpala team as Jimmy Distribute. They were unbeaten.
My father said Jimmy Distribute shot the basketball straight from the chest. When it hit the basket, it made a unique sound as it when through the hoop.
Jimmy Distribute set the record for the longest shoot made at the California Cow Palace. Jimmy simply stepped across the line and shot the basketball from his chest, and it went across the entire basketball court and buzzed into the hoop.
