The Sacred Fire was continued through the Sacred Pipe Ceremony Honoring Elder Brother, Dr. Martin Luther King, January 15, 2021, which will be concluded on February 28, 2021.

As is the Sacred Tradition of the Dakota Nation since the arrival of the first visitors from Europe, this Sacred Ceremony is open to all Members of the Human Family and is without cost. Charging money for a Sacred Pipe Ceremony violates our spiritual laws, as our Sacred Ceremonies are Sacred Gifts and Blessings given by our Beloved Creator to heal, uplift, and unify our Human Family.

Simultaneously, as it has always been, this Sacred Ceremony is for those relatives who are sincerely dedicated to the Red Road of Healing, Compassion, Respect, Love, and Justice. If this is not your Path, with respect, this is not the place for you.

Anyone exhibiting any disrespectful behavior, in any form, will immediately be removed from our Sacred Prayer.

The Story of two Oceti Sakowin warriors and the White Buffalo Calf Woman highlight this Sacred Teaching and Stern Warning. As all that is spiritual has infinite meaning, there are different accounts of this Sacred Story. This is the Sacred Story in its essence.

Two Oceti Sakowin warriors went out to hunt for food at a time of great disunity and spiritual suffering. While the young men traveled, they saw a white cloud in the distance. Then, from the cloud, they saw a woman.

As they approached, they saw that it was a beautiful young woman in white buckskin. She had dark hair, skin, and eyes.

One of the Warriors was filled with lust for the woman. He approached her with disrespect and lust. His companion warned him that she appeared to be a sacred woman and to do anything sacrilegious would be dangerous and disrespectful, but his advice was ignored.

The second warrior watched as his companion approached and embraced the woman dressed in white buckskin, during which time a cloud enveloped them.

Shortly only the mysterious woman and a pile of the first man's bones, with worms eating the last fragments of flesh, remained.

The remaining warrior was frightened, but the holy woman beckoned him forward, telling him that no harm would come to him, as she could see into his heart, and he did not have the motives the first warrior had.

The holy woman explained that she was wakȟáŋ (holy, having spiritual and supernatural powers). She further explained that if he did as she instructed, his people would rise again.

With a pure heart and mind, he promised to do what she instructed and was told to return to his Camp, call together the People, and prepare a feast for her arrival.

The White Buffalo Calf Woman taught the Seven Sacred Ceremonies to protect the Mother Earth and People and gave the Oceti Sakowin the čhaŋnúŋpa, the Sacred Pipe. The White Buffalo Calf Woman appeared circa 900 AD.

In 2021, Her Sacred Teaching are growing stronger and stronger. In time, as demonstrated by the Water Protectors of Standing Rock and across the Americas, and beyond, led by the 7th Generation, the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas, the Union of the Condor, Quetzal, and Eagle, will become so illumined they will enlighten the world, spiritually and intellectually, as prophesied by Indigenous Spiritual Messengers across the Americas.

Every Member of Our Human Family that are dedicated to the Upliftment of the Sacred Understanding of the Prior Unity and Oneness of Our Human Family and all Life, and that the Hurt of One is the Hurt of All, and the Honor of One is the Honor of All.

This Sacred Understanding is the foundation of all the Sacred Prophecies, which all share in essence that Peace Will Prevail on Earth is in the Spiritual Worlds. The Spiritual Foundation of Being Beloved Community.

Again with love and respect to all those friends and relatives receiving our warm and heartfelt welcome to join us, before doing so, reflect very deeply on the depths of the spiritual understanding and consequences of the two warriors and the White Buffalo Calf Woman. This is the power and sacredness of the Prayers of Four Directions we will share with you.

As well, our Indigenous young people and their Allies are rightfully very fierce in their protection and care of their Elders and our Spiritual Teachings and Ceremonies, especially if the Sacred Gifts of their Elders are exploited in any manner.

This includes justly questioning sharing of Sacred Prayers, personally or collectively, on Zoom and outside Indigenous communities.

At the same time, we know that our Creator's Natural Laws, as clearly demonstrated by the Sacred Story of the White Buffalo Calf Woman, deals very harshly with those who violate spiritual law, including backbiting, gossip, lies, slander, that along with the abuse of Women, and Mother Earth are vile spiritual sickness that will be healed one way or another.

It is not easy to heal and forgive more than 500 years of Genocide. And yet, as painful as it is, only colonized people, colonize people, only abused people, abuse people, only hurt people hurt people—time to break the cycle.

At the same time, the sacred feeling of respect, love, protection, and justice for all Life, is the way it is and has been since the coming of the White Buffalo Calf Woman and other Spiritual Messengers that appeared across the Americas.

Now is the time of the fulfillment of Black Elk's Prophecy. And this will happen as sure as Father Sun rises every morning.

“Then a Voice said: ‘Behold this day, for it is yours to make. Now you shall stand upon the center of the earth to see, for there they are taking you.’ I was still on my bay horse, and once more, I felt the riders of the west, the north, the east, the south, behind me, as before, and we were going east. I looked ahead and saw the mountains there with rocks and forests on them, and from the mountains flashed all colors upward to the heavens.

Then I was standing on the highest mountain of them all, and round about beneath me was the whole hoop of the world. And while I stood there, I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I saw in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being.

And I saw that the sacred hoop of my people was one of many hoops that made one circle, wide as daylight and as starlight, and in the center grew one mighty flowering tree to shelter all the children of one mother and one father.

And I saw that it was holy.

Then as I stood there, two men were coming from the east, headfirst like arrows flying, and between them rose the daybreak star. They came and gave an herb to me and said: "With this on earth, you shall undertake anything and do it."

It was the Daybreak-Star herb, the herb of understanding, and they told me to drop it on the earth. I saw it falling far, and when it struck Mother Earth, it rooted and grew and flowered, four blossoms on one stem, a black, a white, a scarlet, and a yellow. The rays from these streamed upward to the heavens so that all creatures saw it and in no place was there darkness.”

The Sacred Way the Sacred Pipe will be offered in this Ceremony was passed on in a Sacred Manner by Frank White Buffalo Man, Hunkpapa from Little Eagle, on the Standing Rock Lionel Kinunwa, Miniconjou, from Cheyenne River more than 40 years ago. This way of sharing the Sacred Pipe was passed on to no one else.

This Sacred Ceremony is being shared openly, as it was shared before the long spiritual wintertime that began to sweep the Americas in 1492. with full faith, understanding, dedication, and vision that the Day That Shall Not Be Followed By Night has arisen, and the Prior Unity and Oneness of Our Human Family and all Life, and that the Hurt of One is the Hurt of All, and the Honor of One is the Honor of All.

Within and through the Everywhere Spirit, there is no time and space and no barriers, no limitations of any form. There is only Light and Oneness.

Equally, we fully honor and respect every member of our Human Families Divine Right to share their Sacred Prayers, as they choose, and fully understand and support those relatives who chose to keep their Sacred Prayers within their close spiritual community circle in privacy. Including those prayers that have never been shared publicly.

However, we may pray; the more and stronger, the better. Our Human Family needs our highest and deepest prayers, at this as we step out of our spiritual adolescence into our spiritual adulthood, and realize we are a Beloved Community as Elder Brother, Dr. Martin Luther King envisioned on the Top of the Mountain, as Black Elk.

In closing, in our Dakota way, Our Names are Waziyata Shunkawakan Duta, Šuŋgmánuŋ, and Chanupa Sapa, and we stand fully responsible before our Creator for our words and action.

You are warmly invited to join us if you choose, within our sacred protocols as we share our very best prayers for unifying, with love, compassion, respect, and justice.
