The Signs Within and Without: The Book of the Self

The signs of Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit, are written upon the vast expanse of Mother Earth and the infinite depths of the human soul. They are found in the rising sun, the seasons' turning, the rhythm of the rivers, and the eagle's flight.

They are also found within us—in the whispers of our conscience, the heart's longing for truth, and the awakening of the spirit to its sacred purpose.

Yet, too often, people seek truth in books, arguments, and the words of others while neglecting the most profound scripture of all—the book of ourselves.

Look within and read the book of our soul. No one else is needed to judge us today—we already know the truth of our actions.

Each soul carries its record, inscribed not in ink but in the deeds it has done, the thoughts it has nurtured, the love it has given, and the truth it has upheld. No external witness is needed, for deep within, we already know who we are, what we have become, and where we must go.

The Journey of Self-Discovery

To walk the sacred path, one must turn inward, reading the pages of one's being. This is not merely an intellectual exercise but a spiritual practice:

To reflect upon one’s actions and their consequences.

To measure oneself not by the judgment of others but by the light of truth.

To recognize both strengths and weaknesses, embrace growth with humility.

To silence the world's distractions and listen to the voice of the spirit.

Truth is not found in the opinions of the world, nor in the arguments of scholars, but in the quiet certainty that emerges when the soul aligns with the Creator.

Awakening to the Signs

The sacred teachings of the Great Spirit need not be sought in distant lands or written only in ancient scrolls. They are present in every breath, every heartbeat, and in the unfolding of creation.

Look to the world, and you will see the divine order.

Look within, and you will find the path home.

The signs are everywhere—for those who choose to see them.
