Part 1: Our Human Family Enters a Sacred Turning Point
We are living in a sacred and powerful hour in the long journey of the Human Family. The events now unfolding across Mother Earth are not random. They are not without meaning. They are part of a great spiritual movement. This movement has been foretold, prayed for, and carried in the hearts of the holy ones, the ancestors, the prophets, the wisdom keepers, and the humble servants of the Creator throughout all ages.
The old world is disintegrating because it can no longer carry the weight of its own injustice, separation, greed, violence, and forgetfulness. Systems that were built without reverence for Mother Earth, without respect for the sacredness of every person, and without obedience to the spiritual laws of life are now trembling. The shaking is painful, but it is also revealing. It is showing the Human Family what can no longer continue.
This is not only a time of crisis. It is the time of birth. It is a time when our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, is calling all peoples back to the Sacred Hoop of Life. The call is not to one Nation only, one religion only, one race only, or one people only. It is a call to the whole Human Family.
We are being called to remember who we are. We are being called to remember that we are relatives. We are being called to remember that Mother Earth is not something to be owned, wounded, and consumed, but a sacred, living trust placed in our care.
We are being called to remember that every child, every elder, every person, every language, every culture, every prayer, and every sincere path toward the Creator has a place in the great circle of life.
The promised goal, now drawing nearer,r is the healing and unification of the Human Family. It is the restoration of right relationship among all peoples and with all life. It is the coming of a new Dawn, not merely as an idea, but as a living reality that must take form in our hearts, our homes, our communities, our Nations, and the whole Earth.
But this new Dawn cannot be entered with old hearts. It cannot be built with hatred, prejudice, domination, false pride, or the desire to control others. It requires purification. It requires humility. It requires prayer. It requires courage. It requires a willingness to release what is no longer life-giving and to walk together in a new way. The Great Spirit is not calling us to despair. Wakan Tanka is calling us to awaken.
The darkness we see in the world is real, but it is not the final word. The confusion is real, but it is not the end of the story. The suffering is real, but within that suffering a greater wisdom is being born. The Human Family is being pressed, tested, and summoned to rise to a higher level of unity, responsibility, justice, and love.
This is why we must not lose heart. The disintegration of the old world is also the preparation for a new one. The pain of this age will become the doorway to healing if we turn toward the Creator of All Good Things and choose to walk in the spiritual laws that sustain life.
Let us stand with clear eyes and strong hearts. Let us pray for wisdom. Let us listen deeply. Let us cleanse our speech, our motives, and our actions. Let us strengthen the bonds of love and trust among the peoples. Let us become faithful helpers in the coming of this new Dawn.
For our Human Family is nearing a sacred goal. Our world is being called out of separation into unity. The Sacred Hoop is being restored. And our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, is guiding all sincere hearts toward the promised day when the peoples of Mother Earth will remember that we are one family, created by one Creator, and entrusted together with one sacred future.
Part 2: Peace Cannot Live on Paper
In every age, our Human Family has longed for peace. After great suffering, after wars, after loss, after grief, the peoples and nations often lift their voices and speak of peace. They make agreements, sign documents, form councils, and declare that a new day has come. These efforts may be sincere and carry hope, but if the heart of humanity remains unchanged, outward peace cannot endure.
Peace cannot live only on paper. A Treaty without a healed heart is fragile. A promise made by leaders while hatred still burns beneath the surface cannot protect the people for long. Words of peace spoken while fear, revenge, pride, greed, and suspicion remain alive in the hearts of nations are like planting seeds in dry ground without water. The form may be present, but the life is not yet there.
True peace begins in the spirit. It begins when the heart turns back toward Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things. It begins when we remember that no people were created to dominate another, no Nation was created to humiliate another, and no child was born to inherit the hatred of the past.
When the Human Family speaks of peace but continues to prepare for war, the old sickness remains. When nations call for justice but secretly carry resentment, the Sacred Hoop remains broken. When people celebrate victory but do not heal the wounds of those who suffered, the roots of another conflict have already been planted.
This is why false peace fails. It treats the surface while leaving the wound untouched. It changes the words but not the spirit. It rearranges power but does not restore the right relationships. It may quiet the noise for a season, but it cannot bring lasting balance.
True peace requires more than silence between battles. True peace requires the cleansing of motives, the healing of memory, the restoration of trust, and the willingness to see former enemies as relatives again. It requires truthfulness. It requires humility. It requires justice. It requires forgiveness without forgetting responsibility. It requires a new heart.
The Great Spirit does not call the Human Family to a peace built on fear. Wakan Tanka calls us to a peace built on love, courage, consultation, justice, and sacred responsibility. The Creator of All Good Things calls us to a peace in which the strong do not crush the weak, the wounded are not ignored, Mother Earth is not sacrificed, and future generations are protected.
In this sacred understanding, peace is not merely the absence of war. Peace is the presence of right relationships. Peace is the restoration of balance between peoples, Nations, communities, families, and Mother Earth. Peace is when the human heart no longer sees another human being as a stranger, a threat, or an enemy, but as a relative within the great circle of life.
Therefore, if we are to build a real and lasting peace, we must begin where the old world refused to begin. We must begin within. We must pray. We must examine our own hearts. We must release hatred before it becomes policy. We must heal fear before it becomes violence. We must speak truth before silence becomes complicity. We must choose unity before division hardens into destiny.
The failure of false peace teaches us a sacred lesson: no agreement can stand unless the spirit beneath it is healed.
Our Human Family now stands at this threshold. We can continue to repeat the old pattern, speaking peace while preparing for conflict, or we can turn back to the Creator of All Good Things and build peace from the roots upward.
Let us choose the deeper way. Let us choose the peace that begins in prayer, grows through justice, is protected by truth, and flowers in unity. Let us choose the peace that heals the heart of the Human Family.
Part 3: Our Mother Earth and our Human Family Are Suffering Together
When we look across our Mother Earth with honest eyes, we can see that our Human Family is living in a time of deepening imbalance. The suffering is not in one place only. It is not confined to one people, one Nation, one religion, one economy, or one government. The whole world is feeling the pressure of a disorder that has been growing over many generations.
Everywhere, we see signs that the Sacred Hoop has been wounded. There is confusion among nations, unrest among peoples, hardship among families, fear in the hearts of many, and sorrow among those who have been forgotten.
People with low incomes are burdened. The young are uncertain. The elders are often neglected. Mother Earth is strained. The waters, forests, animals, birds, and all our relatives in the natural world are crying out for balance to be restored.
This suffering is not separate. The pain of our Mother Earth and the pain of the Human Family are the same. When Mother Earth is harmed, humanity becomes spiritually weakened and divided. When people become divided, our Mother Earth is treated with little reverence. When greed governs the mind, both the land and the human heart are wounded.
This is why our world feels so unstable. The outer disorder is the reflection of an inner disorder. The nations are troubled because the human heart is troubled. The economies are unstable because they have too often been built without justice.
The world’s politics are filled with conflict because they are too often separated from humility, consultation, truthfulness, and service. The spiritual life of humanity is weakened wherever people forget that we are accountable to our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator, and the Creator of All Good Things.
A world out of balance cannot be healed by pretending that everything is well. We must be truthful. We must acknowledge the sickness. We must name the forces that have unjustly broken trust: hatred, prejudice, racism, greed, materialism, violence, arrogance, and the false belief that one person can rise by pushing other people down. These forces are not the way of life. They are the way of separation.
The old world has taught many to see themselves as isolated individuals, competing groups, separate races, divided religions, and rival nations. But the sacred truth is deeper than this.
We are one Human Family. We belong to one living Mother Earth. We breathe the same air, drink from the same sacred waters, walk beneath the same sky, and are held by the same Creator of All Good Things.
Because of this, no wound remains isolated. If one part of the Human Family suffers, the whole body is affected. If one person is humiliated, the whole circle is weakened. If one river is poisoned, the whole web of life is diminished. If one generation is betrayed, the generations yet unborn inherit the burden.
This is why the present condition of the world must awaken us, not paralyze us. The darkness is not shown to us so that we may fall into despair. It is shown to us so we may understand the depth of the healing required. Our Great Spirit is allowing the hidden sickness to become visible so that the Human Family can finally seek the true medicine.
That medicine is not hatred. That medicine is not to blame. That medicine is not revenge. That medicine is not domination in a new form. The medicine is truth joined with love. Justice joined with mercy. Courage joined with humility. Prayer joined with action. Spirit joined the service. Medicine is the restoration of the right relationship among all peoples and with Mother Earth.
We must return to balance. We must return to the sacred laws of life. We must remember that leadership is service, that wealth is responsibility, that knowledge is for healing, that power must be guided by love, and that every decision must be made with the coming generations in mind.
The world is out of balance, but it is destined that balance will be restored. The Sacred Hoop has been wounded, but it will be healed. The Human Family has wandered far, but the path home is before us.
Let us turn again to our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery. Let us pray for eyes that can see clearly, hearts that can feel deeply, and hands that can serve faithfully. Let us become part of the healing medicine that Mother Earth and the Human Family now need.
For the time has come to restore the balance. The time has come to mend the Sacred Hoop. The time has come for the Human Family to remember that we are one body, one circle, one sacred trust, and one living family under the Creator of All Good Things.
Part 4: Our World Is Not Dying. Something Sacred Is Being Born
When we look upon the world’s suffering, it is easy to believe that everything is only falling apart. We see confusion among nations, unrest among peoples, violence, fear, hunger, loneliness, and the disintegration of old systems.
We see Mother Earth burdened, the waters troubled, the forests diminished, and the hearts of many people growing tired. Yet, we must look beyond the surface of these events.
We must listen with the heart. We must ask what the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, is revealing through these spiritual challenges. The world is not only dying. Something sacred is being born.
Every birth comes with pressure. Every new life passes through in a narrow way. Before we enter this physical world of time and space, there is travail, pain, uncertainty, and a deep movement that cannot be stopped. In this same way, the Human Family is passing through a time of spiritual birth-pain.
The old order, built upon separation, greed, domination, prejudice, and forgetfulness of the Creator, can no longer hold the future. It is being pressed, exposed, and transformed because a greater life is emerging from the old.
This does not mean that suffering is good in itself. We do not glorify pain. We do not turn away from the sorrow of the people or the wounds of Mother Earth. We do not pretend that hardship is easy or that injustice should be accepted. We do understand that even in the midst of great suffering, the Creator of All Good Things can bring forth awakening, wisdom, compassion, courage, justice, and unity.
We know that any crisis can become an uplifting instruction when we return to prayer. The Sacred Ones knew that confusion can become clarity when the heart becomes humble. The Wisdom Keepers knew that a people can be broken open in such a way that they finally remember what truly matters. In this sacred sense, the turmoil of the world becomes the doorway through which the Human Family begins to return to the right relationships.
The collapse of the materialistic systems is showing us what cannot continue. It is showing us that peace cannot be built on fear. It is showing us that wealth without justice becomes theft. It is showing us that power without humility becomes dangerous. It is showing us that knowledge without wisdom wounds our Mother Earth. It shows us that religion without love divides people. It shows that politics without truthfulness cannot protect the future. These are hard teachings, but they are necessary teachings for the future and our survival.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, the birth of a new world requires the healing of the whole circle. It cannot be only the healing of one Nation, one race, one faith, one economy, or one part of the Earth.
The New Beginning must include all members of our Human Family. It must include the children and the elders, the women and the men, the Two-Spirit relatives, the poor and the forgotten, the wounded and the displaced, the animals, the waters, the forests, the mountains, the winds, and all our relatives in the great web of life.
This is why the present planetary crisis must not be wasted. If we respond with fear alone, the pain will harden us. If we respond with blame alone, the divisions will deepen. If we respond with despair, we will forget the sacred responsibility placed in our hands. But if we respond with prayer, consultation, courage, humility, justice, and love, then this time of planetary challenges will become a time of planetary transformation, as prophesied.
Our Great Spirit is calling our Human Family to grow beyond the old boundaries of separation. Wakan Tanka is calling us to widen the circle of compassion. The Great Mystery is calling us to understand that no people can find lasting safety while others are abandoned, and no Nation can find true peace while Mother Earth is being wounded. The Creator of All Good Things is calling us to become mature enough to carry a planetary responsibility.
This is the deeper meaning of the birth pangs we are experiencing. Humanity is being asked to grow up spiritually. We are being asked to become worthy of the gifts we have been given. We are being asked to use our knowledge for healing, our resources for service, our freedom for responsibility, and our diversity for beauty. We are being asked to move from separation to kinship, from competition to cooperation, from fear to trust, and from domination to sacred stewardship.
The new world will not be born by accident. It will be born through the faithful choices of awakened human beings. It will be born through families who choose love, communities who choose justice, leaders who choose humility, Nations who choose peace, and peoples who choose to remember that we belong to one another.
Let us therefore not look upon this planetary crisis with hopeless eyes. Let us see it as a great warning, a great teaching, and a great invitation. The old world is trembling, but the Sacred Hoop is calling for restoration. The night is deep, but the first light of Dawn is already moving beneath the horizon.
May we have the courage to become helpers of this birth. May we have the humility to be guided by Wakan Tanka. May we have the love to serve the whole Human Family. And may the Creator of All Good Things bring forth, through this time of travail, a healed world, a united world, a just world, and a sacred new Dawn for all the children of Mother Earth.
Part 5: No Human Plans or System Can Heal the World Without Spirit
The world’s suffering has become too deep to be healed by human cleverness alone. The wounds are too old, too tangled, and too widespread to be mended by policies, negotiations, institutions, governments, economic plans, or outward reforms. These things may be useful, and they may have their rightful place, but by themselves they cannot reach the root of the sickness. The root of the sickness is spiritual separation.
When the human heart forgets the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, then every system we build begins to lose its balance.
Knowledge becomes pride. Wealth becomes greed. Power becomes domination. Religion becomes a division. Politics becomes conflict. Education becomes empty information without wisdom. Even peace efforts become weak when they are not nourished by truth, humility, justice, and love.
This is why no human plan, no matter how intelligent, can heal the world if it leaves the Creator outside the circle. A house cannot stand if its foundation is missing. A fire cannot warm the people if there is no living flame. A tree cannot bear good fruit if its roots are cut away from the living waters. In the same way, the Human Family cannot build a just and lasting world order unless it is rooted in the Spirit.
Every true healing begins by restoring right relationships. We must restore our relationship with our Creator. We must restore our relationship with our Mother Earth. We must restore our relationship with one another. We must restore our relationship with our ancestors and with the generations yet unborn. Without this restoration, every outward effort remains incomplete.
The old world tries to heal symptoms while leaving the wound untouched. It tries to manage poverty without transforming greed. It tries to prevent war without healing hatred. It tries to write laws against injustice while leaving prejudice alive in hearts. It tries to speak of unity while still protecting systems of separation. This is why so many efforts begin with promise and end in disappointment.
Our Creator of All Good Things is calling us to a deeper medicine. That medicine is not merely an organization. It is not merely administration. It is not merely diplomacy. It is not merely reform.
The deeper medicine is spiritual transformation, the awakening of the human heart to the sacred truth that all peoples are one Human Family. This truth must become more than a beautiful idea. It must become the foundation of our decisions, our institutions, our economies, our education, our governance, our treatment of Mother Earth, and our care for the vulnerable.
The Human Family does not need only better machinery. It needs a new heart. This does not mean we reject practical action, far from it. True spirituality must become visible in service.
Prayer must become justice. Vision must become structured. Love must become policy. Compassion must become food, shelter, healing, education, protection, and peace. But a spiritual center must guide these outward forms, or they will lose their way.
A council without humility will become another place of domination. A treaty without sincerity will become another broken promise. A government without justice will become another burden on the people. An economy without compassion will become another machine of suffering. Technology without wisdom will become another instrument of harm. This is why the Spirit must stand at the center.
The Great Mystery is teaching the Human Family that the age of separation has ended. No Nation can save itself alone. No people can prosper while others are crushed. No economy can remain healthy while Mother Earth is wounded. No religion can fulfill its sacred purpose while it looks down upon another sincere path to the Creator. No leader can truly serve while forgetting the least, the last, and the most vulnerable.
The world needs a Divine Vision and Plan, a sacred pattern of life rooted in the Oneness of the Human Family. It needs a vision wide enough to hold all people, strong enough to overcome prejudice, humble enough to learn from every sacred tradition, and practical enough to build new forms of justice, peace, and cooperation.
This vision does not belong to one person alone. It is the birthright and responsibility of the whole Human Family. Our ancestors carried parts of it. Our Sacred Teachers proclaimed it. The Wisdom Keepers protected it. Our Mothers taught it. Our elders prayed for it. Our children are waiting for it. And now, in this sacred hour, we are being asked to help bring it into visible form and unprecedented, unified action to Choose Peace. Live Peace. End War.
Let us not place our trust in human power alone. Let us not believe that the mind can heal what the heart has broken. Let us not imagine that the old tools of control, competition, and domination will create the new world of unity, justice, and peace. We must return to our Source. We must place the Great Spirit at the center.
We must allow Wakan Tanka to guide our thoughts, our words, our relationships, and our actions. We must seek the wisdom of the Creator of All Good Things, so that our human plans may become vessels of healing rather than instruments of further separation.
Then our work will have life in it. Then our councils will have light in them. Then our institutions will be just. Then our peace will have roots deep enough to endure.
For human plans alone cannot heal the world. But human beings, awakened by Spirit, united in love, guided by justice, and devoted to the service of all life, will become instruments through which the Creator of All Good Things brings healing to Mother Earth and to the whole Human Family.
Part 6: Our Human Family is One Body, but the Old Systems Think in Separation
If we look carefully at the world’s suffering, we can see that the deepest cause of unrest is not only war, poverty, economics, politics, or government failure. These are serious conditions, but they are symptoms of something deeper.
The root cause is that the Human Family has entered a new age of interdependence, while most of our systems, habits, institutions, and leaders are still acting according to the old law of separation.
The peoples of Mother Earth are one body. What happens in one part of the world affects all the others. The suffering of one Nation spreads outward. The poisoning of one river enters the larger circle of life. The fear of one person becomes the fear of many. The violence of one place sends sorrow across the whole Human Family. No one is truly separate anymore, and in truth, we never were.
Yet the old world still behaves as though we are divided and unrelated. It still thinks in terms of domination, competition, rivalry, national pride, racial superiority, religious separation, and economic self-interest. It still tries to solve planetary problems with narrow thinking. It still tries to protect one part of the body while allowing another part to suffer. This is why the world remains restless.
This is a violation of the Sacred Hoop. Life was never created in isolated pieces. All things are connected through the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator, and the Creator of All Good Things. The waters are connected. The winds are connected. The forests, animals, birds, insects, plants, mountains, and people are connected. The ancestors, the living, and the generations yet unborn are connected. To harm one part of the circle is to disturb and harm the whole.
The old systems are failing because they are not built upon this truth. They may have power, wealth, armies, technologies, and institutions, but if they do not recognize the Oneness of the Human Family, they cannot guide humanity into the future. They are like a person trying to walk forward while looking backward. They are trying to govern a new world with an old mind.
The age now unfolding requires a higher consciousness, a unitary consciousness. It requires leaders who understand that loyalty to one’s Nation or community does not entail hostility toward others. It requires Nations that understand that true sovereignty is strengthened, not weakened, by justice, cooperation, and respect. It requires communities that understand that freedom must walk with responsibility. It requires economies that understand that wealth is sacred only when it serves life.
The root cause of unrest is the failure to live in accordance with relationships. When politics is separated from morality, it becomes a power struggle. When economics is separated from compassion, it becomes exploitation. When education is separated from wisdom, it becomes information without direction. When religion is separated from love, it becomes a source of division. When science is separated from reverence, it wounds our Mother Earth. When leadership is separated from service, the people suffer.
This is why our Human Family must awaken to a greater law. The Oneness of Humanity is not merely a beautiful teaching. It is the spiritual reality of this age. It is the law that is guiding our future. It is the foundation upon which peace, justice, governance, education, economics, and healing are being rebuilt.
The Creator of All Good Things has brought the peoples of our Mother Earth into greater contact for a sacred purpose. The means of communication, travel, knowledge, and shared understanding have enabled the Human Family to see itself as one circle.
Yet this gift will become dangerous if it is not guided by spiritual maturity. Connection without love can spread fear. Technology without wisdom can multiply harm. Power without humility can deepen suffering.
Therefore, the work before us is not only to connect the world outwardly. The deeper work is to unite the world inwardly. We must become one in heart, one in purpose, one in reverence for Mother Earth, one in commitment to justice, one in protection of the vulnerable, and one in service to the generations yet unborn.
This does not erase the sacred uniqueness of each person. It does not remove the languages, ceremonies, Nations, traditions, histories, or responsibilities that the Great Spirit has given to the many branches of the Human Family.
True unity protects diversity. True unity allows every person to bring their medicine to the circle. True unity does not flatten the garden. True unity allows every flower to grow in beauty.
The old world is becoming more confused because it has not yet accepted this sacred truth. It still clings to separation, while life itself reveals interdependence. It still clings to domination, while Spirit calls for cooperation. It still clings to fear, while the Creator calls us into trust.
The way forward is clear, though it is not easy. We must reshape our relationships, our institutions, our councils, and our decisions in accordance with the truth that we are one Human Family. We must learn to think as one body, feel as one circle, and act as one sacred trust.
Let us ask the Great Spirit to remove from our hearts every prejudice that blinds us to our relatives. Let us ask Wakan Tanka to cleanse our minds of the old thoughts of separation. Let us ask the Great Mystery to teach us how to build structures that reflect the sacred law of relationship. Let us ask the Creator of All Good Things to help us become mature enough to live as one Human Family on one Mother Earth.
The root cause of our world’s growing unrest is separation from Spirit, separation from Mother Earth, and separation from one another. The true remedy is the restoration of our Sacred Hoop.
Our Human Family is one body. Now we must learn to live as one body, guided by love, justice, humility, and the Creator of All Good Things.
Part 7: Universal Peace as a Sacred Covenant
The time has come when peace must no longer be treated as a distant dream, a beautiful word, or a promise spoken only in times of crisis. Peace must become a Sacred Covenant within every human heart. Peace must become a living responsibility carried by every member of our Human Family. Peace must be rooted in our hearst, protected by justice, guided by consultation, and upheld by the sincere efforts of all peoples, Nations, leaders, communities, faiths, and generations.
This is the foundation of the World Peace Gathering, July 17–20, 2026 — Online and in Community — Choose Peace. Live Peace. End War. This gathering is an invitation to renew the sacred covenant of peace and to carry forward the Binding Planetary Peace Treaty to End War, proclaimed at Dripsey Castle, Cork, Ireland, on July 20, 2025, during the World Peace Gathering held from July 10–20, 2025.
This Binding Treaty to End War is a Living Covenant. It calls on the Human Family to renounce war, protect human dignity, redirect militarized resources, strengthen planetary cooperation, establish accountability, educate for peace, and protect Mother Earth as part of the work of ending war.
Now, as we gather in 2026, we return to this sacred responsibility and ask: If we truly intend to end war, what does that actually look like?
Peace is not merely an agreement between governments. Peace is a sacred relationship. It is a way of walking. It is a way of speaking. It is a way of listening. It is a way of making decisions with reverence for our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator, and the Creator of All Good Things. Peace includes Mother Earth, the children, the elders, the ancestors, the generations yet unborn, and all our relatives in the great circle of life.
A true Covenant of Peace cannot be built on fear, domination, or temporary advantage. It must be built on truthfulness, humility, justice, and mutual responsibility. The peoples and Nations of the world must come together in heartfelt consultation to seek what will protect and uplift our whole Human Family.
We must ask not only “What benefits my people?” but also “What brings healing to all peoples? What protects Mother Earth? What safeguards the children? What honors the Creator of All Good Things?”
This is why the heart of the World Peace Gathering is rooted in consultation and the Talking Circle Process. In a Talking Circle, there is no right or wrong answer. Each person speaks from the heart, listens with respect, and offers what they carry. The purpose is not to argue people into agreement, but to allow truth, experience, wisdom, grief, hope, and new understanding to emerge through deep listening.
Alongside the Talking Circles, there will be Topic Circles. These Topic Circles will allow people to look deeply at specific areas connected to the treaty and the ending of war.
Some circles may focus on climate change and war. Some may focus on Mother Earth, territory, land, waters, and sacred responsibility. Some may focus on the economy of war, poverty, inequality, and the redirection of wealth toward life. Some may focus on disarmament, weapons, and new technologies of war. Some may focus on children, youth, the Seventh Generation, trauma healing, human dignity, peace education, media, truth, Indigenous treaty wisdom, governance, accountability, and local implementation.
There will also be Presentations followed by Talking Circles. People may bring ideas, formulas, models, research, teachings, proposals, community plans, legal insights, healing methods, educational tools, technologies, artistic offerings, or practical pathways for implementing the treaty. But the presentation is not the end of the process.
It is an offering placed in the center of the circle. After the presentation, the people will have the opportunity to consult together. They ask what is useful, what is missing, what must be protected, what must be strengthened, and how the offering can help move the Binding Treaty from words into action.
Universal Peace requires more than good intentions. It requires structures strong enough to protect the vulnerable, restrain aggression, reduce armaments, and prevent the peoples of the world from being dragged again and again into the fire of war. It requires a Covenant that is sound, clear, trustworthy, and sacred in the eyes of all who dwell upon Mother Earth.
This Covenant to End War was created through the recognition that our Human Family is one body. When one Nation wounds another, the whole body suffers. When one person is oppressed, the whole circle is weakened. When one region is consumed by war, the sorrow spreads across all of our Mother Earth. Therefore, the responsibility for peace cannot belong to one Nation alone. We all must carry it.
The old world has too often placed its trust in weapons. It is believed that safety comes from the power to destroy. But this is a false safety. The more the Nations arm themselves against one another, the more suspicion grows. The more suspicion grows, the more fear takes root. The more fear takes root, the more easily conflict is born. This path cannot lead to lasting peace.
The new way is different. The Nations must learn to limit the instruments of war and strengthen the instruments of trust. They must invest not only in defense but in healing, education, food, housing, health, clean water, cultural dignity, spiritual renewal, and the protection of Mother Earth. They must understand that the true security of any people depends on the well-being of all people.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, peace is not passive. Peace is an active responsibility. Peace must be guarded like a sacred fire. It must be fed daily with prayer, truth, justice, forgiveness, consultation, and service. If the fire is neglected, the cold winds of fear and hatred return. If the Sacred Covenant is not honored, the old patterns rise again.
This is why all the forces of humanity must be mobilized for peace. The leaders must serve it. The communities must practice it. The schools must teach it. The families must live it. The youth must inherit it. The elders must guide it. The spiritual traditions must bless it. The artists must sing it. The healers must strengthen it. The Nations must protect it. Peace must become the common work of the whole Human Family.
For this reason, the World Peace Gathering will also open a special space for Creative Arts and Music for Peace. Peace is not carried only through documents, speeches, and meetings.
Peace is also carried through song, image, rhythm, dance, poetry, story, film, design, prayer, and beauty. The human heart often understands through art what the mind alone cannot fully grasp.
Artists, musicians, poets, dancers, filmmakers, storytellers, youth, and community creatives will be invited to present creative offerings that convey the message: Choose Peace. Live Peace. End War. This may include songs, chants, music videos, poems, spoken word, paintings, digital art, posters, short films, photography, dance, storytelling, community murals, school projects, youth media, or other creative expressions for peace.
This creative offering will begin during the gathering weekend and grow into a wider Creative Arts and Music for Peace challenge or competition, helping the treaty reach hearts, homes, schools, online communities, and future generations.
The Creator of All Good Things has given humanity the capacity to achieve this. We must not say that Universal Peace is impossible. Universal Peace is inevitable.
Many things once believed impossible have come into being when human beings became united in vision, disciplined in action, and steadfast in purpose. With the help of the Great Spirit, with clear hearts and determined hands, our Human Family will establish Peace on Earth, worthy of the generations yet unborn.
The Sacred Covenant of Peace must also include justice as the foundation. There can be no lasting peace where people are humiliated, where lands are stolen, where cultures are erased, where women are dishonored, where children are neglected, where the poor are abandoned, or where Mother Earth is treated as an object of exploitation. Peace without justice is only silence. Peace with justice becomes healing.
Let us therefore understand Universal Peace as one of the great sacred responsibilities of this age. It is not only a policy. It is not only diplomacy. It is not only the work of governments. It is the work of awakened hearts, united communities, truthful leaders, spiritually guided Nations, courageous youth, wise elders, creative artists, faithful servants, and all those who are willing to help restore the Sacred Hoop of the Human Family.
This is the invitation of the World Peace Gathering. We invite all relatives of the Human Family to come with prayers, questions, wisdom, experience, songs, art, ideas, and community offerings. We invite people to join the talking circles, topic circles, workshops, presentations, and creative offerings.
We invite people to help examine every part of the Planetary Binding Peace Treaty to End War and ask what implementation truly requires. We invite people to bring forward what they know, what they carry, what they have learned, and what they are willing to share.
The Great Spirit is calling us to make peace real. Wakan Tanka is calling us to place peace at the center of our councils. The Great Mystery is calling us to protect peace with courage. The Creator of All Good Things is calling the whole Human Family into a covenant in which war is no longer accepted as destiny, violence is no longer honored as strength, and the future of Mother Earth is protected through unity.
Let us answer this call. Let us make peace a sacred covenant. Let us carry this covenant with prayer, discipline, courage, and love. Let us help build a world where the children of every Nation can grow without fear, where the peoples no longer regard one another as enemies, and where the Sacred Hoop of the Human Family is restored beneath the guidance of the Creator of All Good Things.
Together, let us renew the Treaty. Together, let us deepen the Treaty. Together, let us bring forward the voices of the people. Together, let us bring forward the voices of the Seventh Generation. Together, let us bring forward art and music for peace. Together, let us build the pathway from declaration to implementation. Together, let us choose peace. Together, let us live in peace. Together, let us end war.
Part 8: The Means for World Unity Now Exist
In former ages, the dream of the unity of the whole Human Family was carried by prophets, visionaries, our ancestors, wisdom keepers, and within the sincere hearts of every person. They knew, through Spirit, that all peoples were created from one Source and belonged to One Sacred Circle.
Yet in those earlier times, the outer means for bringing all humanity together did not yet exist. Continents were far apart. Great distances separated people. Languages, oceans, mountains, and limited communication made it difficult for the whole Human Family to see itself as one living body.
Today, this has changed. The means for world unity now exist. The sacred web of relationships has always been real, but now it has become visible. Our peoples of Mother Earth can speak to one another across oceans. A prayer offered in one place can reach hearts in another place almost instantly.
The suffering of one person can be known by many. The wisdom of one Nation can be shared with our whole Human Family. The voices of youth, elders, women, spiritual leaders, artists, knowledge keepers, and communities can cross the boundaries that once kept humanity apart.
This is one of the great wonders of this age. The Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, has allowed the Human Family to enter a time when the outward instruments of connection are powerful enough to serve the inward reality of our oneness. The question now is whether we will use these instruments with wisdom, humility, justice, and love.
Communication alone is not unity. Technology alone does not understand. Connection alone is not healing. The same tools that can carry truth can also carry fear. The same networks that can spread wisdom can also spread confusion and misinformation. The same pathways that can unite people can also deepen division if the Spirit does not guide the human heart.
This is why sacred communication must be rooted in prayer, consultation, respect, and responsibility. We must use the powers of this age to strengthen the Sacred Hoop, not to further break it.
We must use our voices to build trust, not suspicion. We must use knowledge to serve life, not domination. We must use technology to protect Mother Earth, uplift the vulnerable, strengthen cultures, restore languages, and bring the peoples into deeper understanding.
Today, no one can say they are completely separate from the rest of the Human Family. The world’s economies are linked. The waters are linked. The climate is linked. The well-being of children is linked. The movement of people, ideas, diseases, resources, hopes, fears, and prayers is linked.
Humanity has become visibly interdependent, and this interdependence is teaching us a sacred truth that Indigenous peoples have always carried: all things are related.
There are many forms of unity that will gradually come into being. There must be unity in the political realm, so the Nations may learn to consult and cooperate rather than compete and destroy.
There must be unity of thought in world undertakings so that the Human Family can address its great challenges together. There must be unity in freedom so that all people may live with dignity and responsibility.
There must be unity among spiritual traditions so that religion becomes a source of love, not division. There must be unity of Nations, so the peoples of our Mother Earth may regard themselves as citizens of one common homeland.
There must be unity among races to eliminate prejudice. And there must be a growing unity of language and communication so that the peoples may understand one another more fully.
These forms of unity are like the different strands of one sacred braid. Political cooperation, shared purpose, freedom, spiritual harmony, respect among Nations, the healing of racial prejudice, and clear communication are not separate tasks. They belong together. When braided with Spirit, they become strong enough to help carry the future.
But this unity must never become uniformity. The Creator of All Good Things did not make the Human Family with one color, one language, one song, one ceremony, or one way of remembering the Sacred.
The beauty of our world is in its diversity. True unity does not erase the people. It protects them. It allows every Nation, culture, language, and spiritual path to bring its medicine into the circle for the healing of all.
The law of respect must therefore guide the sacred web that has become visible. We must learn to listen to differences without fear. We must learn to consult without seeking domination. We must learn to share wisdom without trying to erase one another. We must learn to walk together in a way that honors both the unity of the Human Family and the sacred uniqueness of every person.
This is the great opportunity of our age. The world has been brought close together. Now our hearts must catch up with our instruments. Our moral maturity must rise to the level of our technology. Our spiritual wisdom must guide our expanding powers. Our compassion must travel as quickly as our messages. Our responsibility must become as wide as our reach.
The Great Spirit has placed before us a sacred reality. Wakan Tanka has allowed the Human Family to see that it is one circle. The Great Mystery has opened pathways of communication that can carry healing across Mother Earth. The Creator of All Good Things has given us the means to build understanding, cooperation, and peace at a level never before possible.
Let us not misuse this gift. Let us make the sacred web a pathway of healing. Let us use every tool, every voice, every gathering, every council, every teaching, every message, and every prayer to strengthen the unity of the Human Family.
The means for world unity now exist. The circle has become visible. The sacred web is before us. Now we must fill it with truth, love, justice, wisdom, and the living breath of the Creator of All Good Things.
Part 9: Our World is Body-If One Part Suffers, the Whole Body Is Affected
One of the clearest spiritual teachings for this age is that the world must be understood as one living body. The peoples, Nations, races, faiths, cultures, lands, waters, and creatures of Mother Earth are not separate pieces without relationship. They are members of one sacred body, woven together by our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things.
When one part of the body is wounded, the whole body feels the pain. When one person is oppressed, the whole Human Family is diminished. When one Nation suffers from war, hunger, humiliation, or injustice, the whole world carries the burden.
When one river is poisoned, when one forest is destroyed, when one species disappears, when one child is abandoned, the Sacred Hoop is weakened.
This is why the old way of thinking can no longer guide humanity. The old world has acted as though one part of the body can prosper while another part is left in pain. It has acted as though one Nation can become secure while another is crushed.
The old world has acted as though wealth can be gathered in one place while poverty spreads in another. It has acted as though Mother Earth can be wounded without consequence. But the law of life does not work this way. The world is one body.
This truth has always been known. The body of life is not made only of human beings. It includes the waters, the winds, the soil, the stars, the plants, the animals, the birds, the insects, the ancestors, the children, and the generations yet unborn. All are held within one great circle of relationship. The Creator knows all of All Good Things. All have their place, their purpose, and their sacred dignity.
When the body is sick, the medicine must reach the whole body. It is not enough to heal one limb while ignoring the rest. It is not enough to bring comfort to one person while others remain in despair. It is not enough to strengthen one economy while humanity’s spiritual life continues to weaken. It is not enough to speak of peace while the weapons of war continue to multiply.
The sickness of the world has many symptoms: greed, prejudice, militarism, fear, hatred, poverty, loneliness, spiritual emptiness, and the loss of reverence for Mother Earth. But beneath these symptoms is one deeper wound: the Human Family has forgotten that it is one family. It has forgotten that all peoples belong to one sacred body. It has forgotten that every decision made in one part of the circle sends ripples through the whole circle.
The healing medicine is unity. The healing medicine is reconciliation. The healing medicine is justice. The healing medicine is the recognition that each person’s well-being is bound to the well-being of all. The healing medicine is the return to the right relationship with our Great Spirit, Mother Earth, one another, and all our relatives in the seen and unseen worlds.
This medicine must be both spiritual and practical. Prayer must guide policy. Compassion must guide economics. Truth must guide consultation. Justice must guide peace. Reverence must guide science. Responsibility must guide technology. Love must guide leadership. Without this joining of spirit and action, the body of the world cannot be restored to health.
The Nations of the world must learn to see one another not as enemies, rivals, or strangers, but as members of one body. If one member grows stronger while another is left broken, the whole body remains unstable. If one member swells with power while another is deprived of dignity, the whole body suffers from imbalance. True health comes when every part is honored, nourished, protected, and brought into harmony.
This means the burdens placed upon people with low incomes must be lifted. The tears of the suffering must be heard. The preparations for war must be eliminated. Our Mother Earth’s resources must be used with respect, restraint and gratitude.
The voices of the vulnerable must be brought into the council. The wounds of history must be faced with truth. The future of the children must be placed at the center of every decision.
The Creator of All Good Things has not created our Human Family for endless conflict. We were not created to destroy one another. We were not placed upon Mother Earth to compete until the circle breaks. We were created to learn, to serve, to love, to protect, to build, to heal, and to walk together toward ever greater spiritual maturity.
This is why the image of the world as one human body is so powerful. It teaches us that no one is outside the circle of care. It teaches us that the wound of one people is a call to the conscience of all peoples. It teaches us that peace cannot be partial. Justice cannot be partial. Healing cannot be partial. The sacred responsibility belongs to every member of our Human Family.
Let us ask the Great Spirit to help us feel the pain of others without turning away. Let us ask Wakan Tanka to open our hearts to the suffering of every person, every Nation, and every living being. Let us ask the Great Mystery to guide our councils, our leaders, our communities, and our families toward the medicine of unity.
For our world is one body. Our Human Family is one circle. Our Mother Earth is one sacred trust. And under the guidance of the Creator of All Good Things, the wounds of this living body will be healed when all peoples remember that we belong to one another.
Part 10: The Future World Commonwealth
Our world is one living body, and our Human Family must learn to govern itself as one body. Mother Earth is one sacred home, and all Nations must learn to protect our home together. We are all related, and the future must be built upon a form of justice wide enough to hold every person, every Nation, every culture, every faith, every child, and every generation yet unborn.
The future World Commonwealth is not simply a political arrangement. It is the Sacred Hoop restored everywhere on our Mother Earth. It is a new order of relationship where the peoples of our world no longer stand outside one another in fear, suspicion, rivalry, and domination, but enter one great circle of responsibility under the guidance of our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things.
This does not mean that the Nations, cultures, languages, traditions, ceremonies, and sacred identities of the peoples disappear. True unity never destroys diversity. A healthy circle does not erase people’s colors. It protects them. It gives every person a rightful place. It allows every Nation to bring its wisdom, memory, suffering, gifts, and medicine into the council of our whole Human Family.
The future World Commonwealth is being rooted in unity without uniformity. It will recognize that all peoples belong to one Mother Earth, but each people has its own sacred trust. Each Nation has its own history, responsibilities, lands, languages, and spiritual gifts. The goal is not to make all people the same. The goal is to bring all people into a just, respectful, and loving relationship.
In such a world, no Nation will be permitted to freely harm another. No people will be abandoned to violence without the concern of all. No government will be allowed to crush its people without the conscience of the Human Family being awakened. No economy will be allowed to prosper by exploiting people with low incomes, destroying Mother Earth, or burdening the generations yet unborn.
A true World Commonwealth will require structures of justice strong enough to protect peace. It will require a council of the Nations, a world parliament, a trusted Planetary Tribunal, and forms of international responsibility that can uphold law, prevent aggression, and resolve conflict through consultation rather than war.
These structures must not become instruments of domination. They must become instruments of service, guided by justice, humility, transparency, and the sacred recognition that all power is accountable to the Creator of All Good Things.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, law must serve life. Governance must serve the people. The economy must serve well-being. Knowledge must serve wisdom. Power must serve protection. Leadership must serve the vulnerable.
No structure is sacred simply because it is powerful. A structure becomes sacred only when it protects life, restores balance, honors truth, and serves the whole circle.
The future World Commonwealth will heal the great poisons that have divided humanity. The fire of racial hatred will be extinguished. The arrogance of religious superiority will give way to reverence for the many sincere paths by which human beings turn toward the Creator.
The extremes of wealth and poverty will be addressed with justice. The weapons of war will be limited and finally transformed into tools that sustain life. The consciousness of isolated nationalism will be widened into a mature awareness of world citizenship.
World citizenship does not mean that we cease to love our own people. It means that our love grows larger.
We can love our family, our clan, our Nation, our homeland, our language, and our sacred traditions while also loving all members of our Human Family. A river does not lose itself when it joins the great waters. Its life becomes part of something larger.
This is the maturity now being asked of humanity. The Human Family must grow beyond the age when power meant the ability to dominate.
We must enter an age when power means the ability to protect, reconcile, heal, consult, serve, and build lasting peace. We must move from the old consciousness of competition into the new consciousness of stewardship.
Mother Earth cannot endure endless rivalry among her children. The children cannot inherit a future built on suspicion and weapons. The elders cannot continue to bear the sorrow of a world that refuses to learn.
The ancestors did not pray for us to remain divided forever. The Creator of All Good Things did not place us here to destroy the sacred trust of life.
The World Commonwealth, understood in this sacred way, is the visible form of a spiritual truth: humanity is one family. It is the outward structure needed to protect the inward reality of our oneness. They are Houses of Justice that will be built when the Human Family finally accepts that no people can find lasting peace alone.
This future will not come through force. It must come through spiritual awakening. It must come through consultation. It must come through suffering transformed into wisdom. It must come through leaders and people who understand that the old ways of domination can no longer carry the future. It must come through a deep spiritual turning of the Human Family toward our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery.
Let us therefore imagine this future not as something cold, distant, or mechanical, but as a great sacred circle. In that circle, the Nations sit together in dignity. The voices of Indigenous Peoples are honored. The wisdom of women is uplifted. The youth are protected and prepared. The elders are respected. Mother Earth is treated as sacred. People with low incomes are not forgotten. The wounded are not cast aside. The diversity of the peoples becomes beauty, and the unity of the Human Family becomes strength.
This is the Sacred Hoop restored at the level of our whole Mother Earth. This is the promise of a World Commonwealth guided by Spirit. This is the direction toward which the Human Family is being called.
May the Great Spirit guide us toward it. May Wakan Tanka strengthen our hearts for it. May the Great Mystery open the way before us. And may the Creator of All Good Things help us build a world where justice protects peace, unity protects diversity, and all peoples walk together as relatives upon one sacred Mother Earth.
Part 11: We Are Not Strangers, We Are Relatives
One of the most beautiful and powerful teachings for this sacred time is that our Human Family must no longer regard one another as strangers. The time has come to leave behind the old consciousness of separation and to enter the larger circle of kinship. We are not isolated people wandering without a relationship. We are relatives, children of one Creator, held together within one sacred web of life.
This truth is not abstract. It is a living law. Every person, every person, every Nation, every culture, every language, every sincere prayer, and every sacred path has a place within the great circle established by our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things. The Human Family is like one great Tree of Life. We may have many branches, many leaves, many blossoms, and many fruits, but we draw our life from one sacred Source.
When we forget this, we begin to see one another through the eyes of fear. We call one another foreign, inferior, dangerous, or unworthy. We build walls in the mind and heart before we build them in the world.
We divide the Human Family into those who belong and those who do not. This is how prejudice begins. This is how injustice grows. This is how the Sacred Hoop is broken.
But when we remember that we are relatives, everything changes. The stranger becomes a member of the family we have not yet come to know. The other Nation becomes a people carrying its own sacred memory and responsibility.
The other faith becomes another doorway through which sincere hearts seek the Creator. The other language becomes another song in the great music of humanity. The other culture becomes another medicine placed in the circle for the benefit of all.
This is the meaning of unity in diversity. Unity does not mean sameness. It does not mean that the Creator of All Good Things desires one color, one voice, one ceremony, one person, one form, or one expression of life.
Mother Earth herself teaches us differently. The beauty of creation is in its abundance of forms. The grasses, trees, birds, animals, waters, stones, winds, flowers, and people all reveal the generosity of the Great Mystery.
A garden is beautiful because it holds many colors, shapes, fragrances, and medicines. If every flower were the same, the garden would lose its richness. In the same way, the Human Family becomes more beautiful when its many peoples are nourished by the same spiritual light and refreshed by the same living waters of love, justice, truth, and humility.
The sacred purpose of unity is not to flatten the world, but to harmonize it. True unity allows difference to become beauty rather than conflict. It allows many voices to become one song without silencing the distinct sound of each voice. It allows many Nations to sit in one council without losing their identity. It allows many spiritual traditions to honor one Creator without denying the sacred ways through which different peoples have been guided.
This is the great teaching needed now. The world has confused unity with control and diversity with division. But Spirit teaches another way. Unity is a relationship. Diversity is a gift.
When a relationship is strong, diversity becomes a source of strength, wisdom, creativity, and healing. When a relationship is broken, diversity is misused as an excuse for fear, superiority, and separation.
The Sacred Place of Unity is not only a spiritual image. It is a way of living. It is a sacred shelter large enough for all members of our Human Family. It is a circle where no one is treated as a stranger, no culture is despised, no race is ranked above another, no sincere prayer is mocked, and no child is made to feel outside the love of the Creator of All Good Things.
To enter this Sacred Place of Unity, we must cleanse our hearts of prejudice. We must release inherited fears. We must examine the stories we have been taught about one another. We must stop magnifying differences in ways that produce suspicion. We must learn to listen with humility, speak with respect, and honor the dignity of every person.
This does not mean we ignore injustice. True unity is not silence in the face of harm. True unity requires truth. It requires healing the wounds that have divided the peoples. It requires facing history with courage. It requires restoring the right relationship where trust has been broken. It requires that love become strong enough to practice justice.
Our Creator of All Good Things has made the Human Family a sacred garden. Each person carries a color. Each Nation carries a memory. Each culture carries a teaching. Each language carries a way of seeing. Each generation carries a responsibility. When these gifts are brought together under the power of love and the guidance of the Great Spirit, the beauty of human perfection begins to appear.
Let us stop seeing one another as strangers. Let us stop allowing fear to define the circle. Let us stop believing that difference is a threat. Let us remember that every person has been placed here with purpose, and every person has medicine to bring.
The Human Family is one tree. Mother Earth is one garden. The Sacred Hoop is one circle. And beneath the shelter of the Sacred Tree of Unity, all peoples are invited to stand together as relatives, uplifted by diversity, protected by justice, guided by love, and blessed by Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things.
Part 12: Moving Beyond Prejudice and Outworn Systems- Whatever Harms the Sacred Hoop Must Be Transformed
From age to age, cycle to cycle, the Human Family is given teachings, customs, institutions, laws, and ways of organizing life. Some of these are born from wisdom and help the people walk in balance. Some protect the vulnerable, preserve memory, guide conduct, and strengthen the circle.
But some systems, over time, lose their life. Some become hardened. Some become instruments of domination, prejudice, exclusion, and suffering. When this happens, the Human Family must have the courage to examine them in the light of truth.
No human system is sacred simply because it is old, powerful, or widely accepted. A system becomes worthy when it serves life, protects dignity, honors Mother Earth, strengthens the people, and reflects the justice of our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things. If a law, institution, custom, policy, or belief no longer serves the healing and well-being of the Human Family, then it must be transformed.
The purpose of law is to protect life. The purpose of governance is to serve the people. The purpose of tradition is to carry wisdom forward. The purpose of education is to awaken understanding. The purpose of religion is to unite hearts with the Creator and with one another. The purpose of the economy is to sustain the well-being of all. When any of these are turned away from their sacred purpose, they become empty forms and harmful.
The old world often asks humanity to serve systems that no longer serve life. It asks people experiencing poverty to carry burdens they did not create. It asks Indigenous Peoples to surrender lands, languages, ceremonies, and sacred responsibilities for the sake of laws made without them. It asks Mother Earth to endure endless extraction. It asks future generations to inherit the consequences of decisions made without love, restraint, or reverence.
This is not the way of the Sacred Hoop. The Sacred Hoop teaches that every part of life must be held in the right relationship. When one part becomes distorted, the whole circle feels it. When institutions protect privilege more than justice, the circle is wounded. When governments serve power more than the people, the circle is weakened. When religions embrace superiority rather than love, the circle is divided. When economies reward greed while children suffer, the circle is broken. When cultures teach prejudice, the circle is darkened.
Therefore, our Human Family must learn to release what is no longer life-giving. This does not mean dishonoring the past. It means honoring the deeper purpose for which all true teachings were given.
Our ancestors did not carry wisdom so that we would become prisoners of dead forms. They carried wisdom so that life could continue, so that the people could adapt, so that the sacred fire could remain alive through changing times.
Moving beyond prejudice and outworn systems requires humility and compels us to ask difficult questions. Does this way strengthen unity or deepen separation? Does it protect the vulnerable or burden them? Does it honor women, children, elders, and the forgotten ones? Does it protect Mother Earth? Does it help the Human Family recognize itself as one family? Does it bring us closer to the Creator of All Good Things, or does it feed pride, fear, and a desire for domination?
Any belief that teaches one person to look down upon another must be transformed. Any structure that denies the dignity of another race, culture, Nation, faith, or language must be transformed. Any system that treats Mother Earth only as property must be transformed. Any habit of thought that divides the Human Family into superior and inferior peoples must be transformed. These are not small matters. They are spiritual sicknesses that must be healed at the root.
Our Creator of All Good Things has made the Human Family diverse, but not divided in worth. Every person has dignity. Every Nation has gifts. Every culture carries memories. Every language holds a way of seeing. Every sincere heart that turns toward the Creator has value. To deny this is to deny the sacred generosity of the Great Spirit.
The new world cannot be built with the prejudices of the old. We cannot carry forward racism, religious superiority, sexism, greed, colonial domination, or the false belief that some lives matter less than others. These ways belong to the age of separation. They cannot guide the age of unity.
But transformation must be guided by love, not hatred. We do not heal domination by creating domination in another form. We do not heal prejudice by replacing one contempt with another. We do not heal old wounds by refusing truth, nor do we heal them by abandoning compassion. The deeper way is truth joined with mercy, justice joined with humility, courage joined with prayer.
This is how the Sacred Hoop is restored: not by clinging to everything old, nor by destroying everything that came before, but by discerning what carries life and what must be released. The living wisdom must be protected. The harmful patterns must be transformed. The sacred purpose must be remembered.
Let us therefore ask our Great Spirit to give us clear eyes. Let us ask Wakan Tanka to help us recognize where we have become attached to forms that no longer serve life. Let us ask the Great Mystery to cleanse our hearts of prejudice, fear, and pride. Let us ask our Creator of All Good Things to guide the Human Family into systems rooted in justice, compassion, humility, and unity.
Whatever harms the Sacred Hoop must be transformed. Whatever serves life must be strengthened. Whatever protects Mother Earth must be honored. Whatever uplifts the Human Family must be carried forward. And whatever helps all people remember that we are relatives must become part of the foundation of the new Dawn now rising before us.
Part 13: Expanding the Sacred Hoop: The Oneness of our Human Family
The Oneness of the Human Family is not merely a beautiful feeling, a kind thought, or a gentle hope. It is not only a wish that people would be friendlier to one another. It is a spiritual law for this age. It is a sacred reality that must become visible in the life, institutions, relationships, decisions, and responsibilities everywhere on our Mother Earth.
This Oneness is the expansion of the Sacred Hoop. The circle that begins with the individual must widen to include the family. The family must widen to include the clan. The clan must widen to include the community. The community must widen to include the Nation. The Nation must widen to include our whole Human Family. This does not destroy the smaller circles. It fulfills them by placing them within a greater circle of relationship.
This is how life grows. A child first learns a sense of belonging in the arms of the family. Then the child learns responsibility for the older people. Then the people learn responsibility for other people, for Mother Earth, for all our relatives, and for the generations yet unborn. Spiritual maturity is the widening of love, the widening of duty, and the widening of identity until no part of life is treated as outside the circle of care.
The old world has often mistaken unity for sentiment. It has spoken of brotherhood and goodwill, but has left unchanged the structures that produce injustice, poverty, war, prejudice, and separation.
The Oneness of the Human Family asks much more of us. It asks for an organic change in the body of society. It asks that the systems governing human life be reshaped in light of the truth that all peoples are relatives.
This means that politics must become a consultation in the service of the whole. Economics must become the responsible sharing and stewardship of resources. Education must awaken both knowledge and wisdom. Religion must become a source of love, justice, humility, and unity. Science must walk with reverence.
The law must protect dignity. Leadership must serve the vulnerable. Culture must be honored. Mother Earth must be treated as a sacred trust, not as property to be consumed.
The Oneness of our Human Family is not an idea that can remain in speeches. It must take form. It must become food for the hungry, shelter for the unhoused, healing for the wounded, justice for the oppressed, respect for women, protection for children, dignity for elders, restoration for Indigenous Peoples, and peace among the Nations. It must become the way decisions are made and the way power is held accountable.
Our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, has guided humanity through many stages of growth. The Human Family has learned the meaning of family life, tribal solidarity, village and city life, and the formation of Nations. Each stage carried lessons. Each stage had its dignity. Each stage helped humanity develop new capacities. But now the time has come for a greater stage: the conscious unity of our whole Human Family.
This greater unity does not require the loss of identity. A person does not cease to belong to a family when they serve the community. A Nation does not lose its sacred dignity when it enters into just relationships with other Nations. A person does not lose their language, songs, ceremonies, or memory when they join the larger circle. True unity protects the sacred gifts of every person and brings them into harmony.
The Sacred Hoop is not a flat circle where everything becomes the same. It is a living circle filled with many gifts. Each person carries a medicine. Each Nation carries a story. Each culture carries a way of seeing. Each language holds a spiritual memory. Each path of sincere prayer carries a light. When these are brought together under the guidance of the Creator of All Good Things, the Human Family becomes stronger, wiser, and more beautiful.
But this transformation requires courage. It requires us to move beyond narrow loyalties that deny the larger truth. It requires us to love our own people deeply without loving other people. It requires us to serve our own Nation faithfully while recognizing that all Nations share one Mother Earth. It requires us to honor our own spiritual path without mocking or diminishing others' prayers. It requires a larger heart.
The world cannot remain organized around separation and still survive the powers now placed in human hands. Humanity’s technologies, economies, communications, and weapons have become planetary in scope. Therefore, our moral and spiritual consciousness must also become planetary. The outer world has become one body; now the inner heart of humanity must awaken to match that reality.
This is the organic change now required. It is not cosmetic. It is not temporary. It is not merely administrative. It is a change in the structure of human relationships. It is a change in how we understand power, identity, responsibility, justice, peace, and belonging. It is the movement from separation to kinship, from competition to cooperation, from domination to service, and from fear to sacred trust.
The Creator of All Good Things is calling the Human Family to this maturity. We are being asked to grow beyond the adolescence of rivalry and enter the adulthood of responsibility. We are being asked to recognize that no people can be secure while others are abandoned, no Nation can be truly great. At the same time, Mother Earth is wounded, and no human being can be fully free while the dignity of another is denied.
Let us therefore understand the Oneness of the Human Family as a sacred law, not a passing dream. Let us build it into our councils, our schools, our economies, our spiritual communities, our governments, our peace efforts, and our daily conduct. Let us teach the children that their circle of belonging is wide. Let us remind the leaders that their authority is accountable to the whole. Let us remind ourselves that every thought, word, and action either strengthens or weakens the Sacred Hoop.
The Sacred Hoop is expanding. The Human Family is being called into one living circle. Family, clan, community, Nation, and our whole Mother Earth must now be held together in the right relationship.
May our Great Spirit guide this transformation. May Wakan Tanka cleanse our hearts of separation. May the Great Mystery help us see the sacred dignity of every person. And may the Creator of All Good Things strengthen us to build a world where the Oneness of the Human Family is not only believed but lived.
Part 14: At First, Every Great Healing Looks Almost Impossible
Whenever the Great Spirit begins to widen the circle of our Human Family, there is always resistance. This has been true in every age. When a new and greater unity begins to appear, many hearts become afraid. Some cling tightly to the old ways, even when those ways no longer bring life. Some mistake the widening of love for the loss of identity. Some believe that if the circle grows larger, their own place within it will become smaller. But this is not the way of the Spirit.
Every great healing first looks almost impossible. Before the people are ready, the vision seems too large. Before the heart is softened, the new path seems threatening. Before the mind is illumined, unity appears like a dream beyond reach. Yet the Creator of All Good Things has always moved the Human Family forward through stages of growth that once seemed impossible.
There was a time when families learned to become clans. There was a time when clans learned to become communities. There was a time when communities learned to become Nations.
There was a time when separate peoples, divided by suspicion and rivalry, gradually learned to enter larger forms of relationship. Each step required struggle. Each step required letting go of fear. Each step required a wider understanding of belonging.
The same is true now. The Human Family is being called into a greater circle than it has ever consciously carried before. Planetary Unity.
We are being called to understand that the time has come for all peoples, all Nations, all races, all cultures, all sincere spiritual paths, and all communities of Mother Earth to find their rightful place in one living Sacred Hoop.
To many, this still seems impossible. Yet what seems impossible to the fearful heart is already unfolding through the divine wisdom and power of Wakan Tanka.
The old world resists unity because it has been trained by separation. It has been taught to think in terms of enemies and allies, winners and losers, superior and inferior peoples, chosen and rejected groups, powerful and powerless nations.
The old world has built systems around competition, domination, ownership, and control. Therefore, when the voice of unity speaks, the old world often hears it as a threat.
But true unity does not destroy what is sacred. It does not erase Nations, cultures, languages, ceremonies, histories, or spiritual gifts. It does not ask the people to forget who they are. True unity asks the people to remember more fully who they are: members of one Human Family, children of one Creator, and relatives within one living circle of life.
The resistance to world unity often comes from fear of losing power. Those who benefit from division may not welcome the healing of the circle. Those who profit from conflict may not welcome peace. Those who have built their identity upon superiority may not welcome equality. Those who have grown comfortable with injustice may not welcome transformation. This is why every sacred movement toward unity must be guided by courage, patience, prayer, and truth.
We must not become discouraged by resistance. Resistance does not mean the vision is false. It means the vision is powerful. When a seed begins to break through the soil, it meets resistance. When the dawn begins to rise, the darkness does not vanish all at once. When a person begins to heal, old wounds may first become visible. The path of unity is the same. It reveals what must be transformed.
The Great Mystery is teaching us that the Human Family cannot remain forever in the adolescence of division. The powers now placed in human hands are too great for immature hearts. The weapons are too destructive. The technologies are too far-reaching. The economies are too interdependent. The climate, waters, food systems, and the future of children are too deeply interconnected. We must grow into a larger responsibility, or the old separation will continue to bring suffering.
This larger responsibility does not come by force. It comes by awakening. It comes when enough hearts begin to see that the well-being of one people is bound to the well-being of all peoples. It comes when enough leaders understand that true strength is not domination, but service. It comes when enough communities realize that peace is not weakness, but sacred courage. It comes when enough Nations understand that sovereignty and interdependence must learn to walk together.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, resistance must be met with firmness and compassion. We must not hate those who are afraid of unity. We must not become bitter toward those who do not yet see. We must continue to speak the truth, live the teaching, build the relationships, and show through our actions that unity does not diminish anyone. Unity fulfills the deepest purpose of all.
The ancestors knew that the circle would widen. The prophets saw a day when the peoples would walk together. The wisdom keepers protected the teachings of relationship for this very hour. The prayers of countless generations are moving beneath our feet, helping prepare the Human Family for a unity greater than any we have yet known.
Let us therefore be patient, but not passive. Let us be loving, but not weak. Let us be humble, but not silent. Let us be steady in the face of fear, confusion, opposition, and delay. The new world will not be born simply because we speak of it. It will be born because we live it, organize for it, pray for it, sacrifice for it, and refuse to abandon the sacred vision placed before us.
Every great healing at first looks impossible. Every widening of the circle first meets resistance. Every new Dawn first rises through darkness.
But our Great Spirit is faithful. Wakan Tanka continues to guide the sincere hearts of the Human Family. The Creator of All Good Things continues to call us beyond separation into kinship, beyond fear into trust, beyond rivalry into cooperation, and beyond the old world into the Sacred Hoop of a healed and united humanity.
Part 15: Severe Ordeals and Great Transformations Will Cleanse, Awaken, and Prepare our Human Family
In the long journey of the Human Family, there are times when transformation does not come easily. There are times when the old ways resist change so strongly that only great devastation can awaken the people. There are times when the consequences of separation, injustice, greed, prejudice, and forgetfulness become so visible that humanity can no longer deny the need for a new path.
We do not seek suffering. We do not glorify pain. We do not welcome hardship as though it were good in itself. The Creator of All Good Things does not ask us to be indifferent to the people’s sorrow.
Our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, calls us to relieve suffering, protect life, heal wounds, and prevent harm wherever we can. Yet we also understand that, when suffering comes, it can become a teacher if the heart turns toward Spirit.
The fire of an ordeal can destroy, but it can also purify. It can burn away illusions. It can expose what was hidden. It can reveal the weakness of systems built without justice. It can show the emptiness of power without humility, wealth without compassion, knowledge without wisdom, and religion without love. In this way, a severe test can awaken the conscience of the Human Family and prepare the people for a greater responsibility.
Many times in history, humanity has changed only after old patterns reached their limit. People clung to ways that no longer served life until those ways brought such sorrow that a new understanding became possible. This is not because the old suffering was holy in itself, but because the Great Spirit can bring wisdom even out of the hardest experiences. The Great Mystery can turn pain into compassion, loss into humility, and crisis into a doorway of awakening.
The world today is being asked to learn before the cost becomes greater. Mother Earth is warning us. We are being warned by the divisions among peoples. The loneliness is warning us of the young, the neglect of the vulnerable, the cries of the poor, the wounds of Indigenous Peoples, the exhaustion of the land, and the unrest of the Nations. These warnings are sacred if we have the humility to hear them.
A severe ordeal becomes dangerous when the people respond with fear, blame, hatred, and greater separation. But it becomes transformative when the people respond with prayer, truthfulness, consultation, justice, and love. The same fire that hardens one heart can soften another. The same crisis that divides one community can awaken another to unity. The same impact that brings despair to some can call others into service.
This is why spiritual preparation is so important. When the winds of the world grow stronger, the roots must grow deeper. When confusion spreads, the heart must become more anchored in the Great Spirit. When fear rises, the people must gather in prayer and consultation. When old systems tremble, we must not simply rebuild them in the same way. We must ask what the Creator of All Good Things is teaching us and what kind of world we are being called to create.
The ordeal of this age is to ask the Human Family to mature. We can no longer live as though one person can be safe while another is abandoned. We can no longer live as though one Nation can flourish while Mother Earth is wounded. We can no longer live as though wealth can be separated from responsibility, freedom from justice, power from humility, or knowledge from wisdom. The time of childish separation is coming to an end. The time of sacred responsibility is before us.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, every test asks a question: Will we break apart or come together? Will we deepen fear, or will we deepen love? Will we cling to the old patterns, or will we allow Spirit to guide us into a new way? Will we protect only ourselves, or the whole circle of life?
The ancestors knew that purification must be joined with purpose. A people cannot pass through fire only to return unchanged to the same path that wounded them. The purpose of the ordeal is transformation. It is to awaken a clearer vision, a stronger love, a deeper humility, and a greater willingness to serve. It is to prepare the Human Family to carry the responsibilities of unity.
This transformation must take form in real life. It must reshape how we govern, how we educate, how we use resources, how we protect Mother Earth, how we resolve conflict, how we care for children and elders, and how we honor the dignity of every person. This transformation must help us move from domination to consultation, from competition to cooperation, from exploitation to stewardship, from prejudice to kinship, and from fear to trust.
The Creator of All Good Things does not abandon the Human Family in the fire. Wakan Tanka walks with a sincere heart. The Great Mystery places helpers along the path. The sacred teachings remain available. The ancestors continue to pray. The children continue to call us forward. The Dawn continues to rise, even when the night feels long.
Let us therefore meet the ordeals of this age with clear eyes and steady hearts. Let us not become bitter. Let us not become numb. Let us not allow suffering to make us cruel. Let it make us more truthful, more compassionate, more courageous, and more devoted to the healing of the whole Human Family.
The fires will cleanse. The shaking will awaken. The tests will prepare us. And through every severe ordeal, our Great Spirit will help bring forth a greater transformation: a Human Family ready to carry peace, justice, unity, and sacred responsibility for all life upon Mother Earth.
Part 16: The Fulfillment of the Vision of Peace: The Weapons of War Must Become Tools of Life
From the beginning of memory, the Human Family has carried a sacred longing for peace. This longing has lived in the prayers of the mothers, the songs of the elders, the visions of the prophets, the ceremonies of the ancestors, the teachings of the wisdom keepers, and the quiet hopes of children everywhere.
Beneath all the noise of history, beneath the struggles of Nations and the wounds of generations, there has always been a deeper prayer moving through humanity: that one day the peoples of Mother Earth would no longer destroy one another, but would learn to live as relatives.
From our Indigenous perspective, this vision of peace is not an empty dream. It is a sacred promise planted within the heart of the Human Family by our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things. It is the memory of what life was meant to become. It is the call of the Sacred Hoop restored. It is the future toward which all sincere hearts, all true prayers, and all acts of justice and compassion are moving.
The old teachings speak of a day when the weapons of war will be transformed into tools of life. From our perspective, this means that the energy, wealth, intelligence, labor, and skill once used to prepare for destruction must be redirected toward healing.
The metal of war must become the tools for planting. The resources of conflict must become food, shelter, education, clean water, medicine, cultural restoration, and protection for Mother Earth. What was once shaped by fear must be reshaped by love.
This is a profound spiritual transformation. It is not only the ending of battles. It is the changing of the human heart. It is the movement from fear to trust, from domination to service, from revenge to reconciliation, from separation to kinship, and from destruction to stewardship. Until the heart changes, the weapons may disappear for a season, but the spirit of conflict will remain. When the heart changes, even the tools of destruction can be converted into instruments of life.
The fulfillment of peace requires that the Human Family grow into a new maturity. We must no longer teach children that violence is the highest proof of strength. We must teach them that courage is the protection of life.
We must no longer measure greatness by the ability to overpower others. We must measure greatness by the ability to heal, reconcile, serve, consult, and protect the vulnerable. We must no longer honor domination as leadership. We must honor humility, wisdom, justice, and love.
Mother Earth cannot continue to carry the burden of endless conflict among her children. The waters cannot be poisoned by hatred. The lands cannot be consumed by rivalry. The air cannot continue to carry the smoke of fear.
The generations yet unborn cannot be asked to inherit the unfinished wounds of those who refused to reconcile. The time has come for the Human Family to choose a different path.
This path of peace must include justice. Peace cannot be built by asking the wounded to be silent. Peace cannot be built by covering over historical wrongs without truth, healing, and responsibility. Peace cannot be built while some people are denied dignity, while cultures are erased, while Mother Earth is exploited, while women are dishonored, while children are neglected, or while people with low incomes are forgotten. True peace is the fruit of the right relationship.
The Creator of All Good Things is calling us to a peace that is strong enough to face the truth and loving enough to heal it. This peace does not avoid difficult conversations. It does not run from the wounds of history. It does not pretend that broken trust can be restored without accountability. It invites the Human Family into a deeper circle where truth, mercy, justice, and reconciliation walk together.
The fulfillment of the vision of peace also requires the Nations to change their priorities. The wealth of the world must no longer be poured endlessly into fear while children go hungry, elders are abandoned, communities are neglected, and Mother Earth is wounded.
The genius of humanity must be turned toward healing the body of the world. The strongest minds, the greatest resources, and the most sincere hearts must be mobilized for peace, not for destruction.
From the view of the Sacred Hoop, peace is not weakness. Peace is sacred strength. It takes strength to forgive without abandoning justice. It takes strength to reconcile without denying the truth. It takes strength to protect life rather than threaten it. It takes strength to sit in council with those we fear or misunderstand. It takes strength to choose a future greater than the wounds of the past.
The fulfillment of peace will not come only from leaders at the top. It must also rise from the people. It must be lived in families, schools, communities, spiritual gatherings, councils, and Nations. It must be carried by youth and elders, women and men, Two-Spirit relatives, artists, farmers, healers, teachers, builders, spiritual leaders, and all those who choose to become instruments of healing. Peace becomes real when it is practiced daily.
Every prayer for peace matters. Every act of reconciliation matters. Every word that lowers hatred matters. Every child is taught to see others as relatives. Every community that chooses consultation over conflict matters. Every nation that turns from domination toward cooperation matters. These are the living seeds of the promised peace.
Our Great Spirit has not created humanity for endless war. Wakan Tanka has not placed us upon Mother Earth to destroy the sacred trust of life. The Great Mystery has not given us intelligence, creativity, and spiritual capacity so that we may use them against one another. The Creator of All Good Things has called the Human Family to a higher destiny.
The day of peace is not merely something to wait for. It is something we must help bring into being. We must prepare our hearts for it. We must educate our children for it. We must build institutions that can protect it. We must transform the habits that prevent it. We must pray for it, work for it, sacrifice for it, and live it.
Let the weapons of war become tools of life. Let the councils of fear become councils of healing. Let the wealth of the Nations be turned toward the well-being of the children. Let the strength of humanity be used to protect Mother Earth. Let the old prophecies of peace become visible in the daily life of the Human Family.
May the Great Spirit guide us toward that promised day. May Wakan Tanka cleanse our hearts of hatred and fear. May the Great Mystery teach us how to reconcile what has been broken. And may the Creator of All Good Things help the peoples of Mother Earth walk together as relatives in a world where peace is no longer a distant hope, but a living reality.
Part 17: Ancient Truth for a New World-The Eternal Teachings Must Guide Our Human Family
Every age receives the guidance it needs. The eternal truths of Spirit do not disappear. Still, the Human Family must learn to hear them again in a language suited to its time, its conditions, its suffering, and its possibilities.
The wisdom of our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, is ancient, yet never old. It is living. It is renewed whenever sincere hearts awaken and apply it to the needs of the present hour.
The world today has become one vast and highly connected organism. Science, technology, communication, travel, commerce, and shared human experience have brought the peoples of Mother Earth into close relationships. What happens in one place now touches many places.
A decision made by one Nation can affect the waters, the air, the food, the economy, the peace, and the well-being of people far away. Humanity can no longer pretend that it is made of separate, unrelated parts.
Yet while the outer world has become connected, humanity’s inner life has not yet fully awakened to this reality. The instruments of connection have advanced more quickly than the spiritual maturity needed to guide them.
Our Human Family has gained great power, but not always the wisdom to use it. We have built pathways across the Earth, but too often the heart still carries old divisions. We have multiplied knowledge, but knowledge without reverence can become dangerous.
The ancient truth is that all life is related. The ancient truth is that the Human Family is one. The ancient truth is that Mother Earth is sacred. The ancient truth is that power must serve life. The ancient truth is that justice and love must walk together. The ancient truth is that no people can be truly whole while other people are despised, abandoned, or oppressed. The ancient truth is that every gift given by the Creator must be used with humility and responsibility.
These truths have been spoken in many languages, carried by many prophets, preserved by many wisdom keepers, sung in many ceremonies, and guarded in the hearts of many peoples. They do not belong to one Nation alone. They are part of the sacred inheritance of the whole Human Family. But in this age, they must be brought forward with new clarity, new courage, and new practical application.
It is not enough to repeat sacred words if we do not apply them to the world’s actual conditions. If we say that humanity is one family, then our governance must reflect it. If we say that Mother Earth is sacred, then our economies must reflect it. If we say that all people have dignity, then our laws, schools, institutions, and daily conduct must reflect it. If we say that peace is holy, then the resources of the Nations must be turned away from destruction and toward life.
The restatement of eternal truth must therefore be both spiritual and practical. It must speak to the heart and also reshape the world. It must guide prayer, but also guide policy. It must inspire love, but also build justice. It must honor the sacred, but also feed the hungry, shelter the vulnerable, protect the waters, heal the wounded, educate the children, and restore trust among peoples.
From our Indigenous perspective, this restatement must also heal the false separation between spirit and life. Spirit is not separate from governance. Spirit is not separate from education. Spirit is not separate from economics. Spirit is not separate from science. Spirit is not separate from how we treat the land, the water, the elders, the children, and the stranger. Spirit is the breath that must move through all of life.
The modern world has often tried to organize itself without this breath. It has treated the sacred as private and the material as public. It has acted as though the Creator belongs only to ceremony, while the marketplace, the government, the school, and the world’s technology can operate without spiritual accountability. This is one of the deep wounds of the age.
The Creator of All Good Things is calling us to restore wholeness. The truths that live in prayer must guide public life. The reverence we feel in the ceremony must shape how we use the Earth’s resources.
The love we speak of in sacred gatherings must become visible in how we treat the poor, the stranger, the wounded, and the generations yet unborn. The wisdom of Spirit must guide the powers of science and technology so they become instruments of healing rather than harm.
This does not mean forcing one belief upon another. It does not mean domination in the name of the Spirit. It means recognizing that the moral and spiritual foundations of life are necessary for the survival and healing of the Human Family. It means honoring all sincere paths that lead human beings toward love, justice, humility, truthfulness, compassion, and service.
The eternal truth must now be spoken in words that can reach the whole Human Family. It must be spoken in the language of unity, not superiority. It must be spoken in the language of kinship, not conquest. It must be spoken in the language of healing, not condemnation.
The eternal truth must be spoken in the language of responsibility, not blame. It must be spoken in the language of sacred relationship, so that every person can recognize its place in the circle.
The world needs this restatement because the old patterns can no longer carry the future. The powers of this age are too great to be guided by narrow hearts. The wounds of the world are too deep to be healed by material remedies alone. The interdependence of humanity is too complete to be governed by the illusion of separation. The future of our Mother Earth is too precious to be entrusted to greed, rivalry, and forgetfulness.
Our Great Spirit is calling the Human Family to remember the ancient truth in a new way. Wakan Tanka is calling us to bring the wisdom of the ancestors into the needs of this hour. The Great Mystery is calling us to unite spiritual vision with practical action. The Creator of All Good Things is calling us to speak, live, and build in accordance with the sacred law of oneness.
Let us therefore state the truth with humility and courage. Let us make it clear that the Human Family is one. Let us make it clear that Mother Earth is sacred. Let us make it clear that justice is spiritual. Let us make it clear that peace is possible. Let us make it clear that diversity is a gift. Let us make it clear that every person has a place in the Sacred Hoop.
And let us do more than say it. Let us live it. Let us organize around it. Let us educate ourselves on it. Let us build institutions that reflect it. Let us become the living proof that ancient truth, renewed in this age, can guide the Human Family toward healing, unity, peace, and the sacred future intended by the Creator of All Good Things.
Part 18: Our Sacred Duty in This Hour-We Must Help Build the World Wakan Tanka Has Placed Before the Human Family
After all that has been spoken, after all the signs of suffering, shaking, awakening, and transformation, we come now to the sacred question: What is our duty in this hour? Our Human Family is being called toward unity. Mother Earth is crying out for healing. The old systems can no longer carry the future, and we cannot remain passive. We are being asked to stand up with prayer, vision, humility, courage, and steadfast service.
This is a time for clear hearts and strong spirits. We are not here merely to watch the world change. We are here to help guide the change toward healing. We are here to guard the Sacred Fire until the Dawn becomes fully visible to all. We are not here to withdraw into despair. We are here to become helpers of our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator, and the Creator of All Good Things.
The vision of a united and peaceful Human Family is already stirring in the consciousness of humanity. It is appearing in many places, through many hearts, many movements, many prayers, many acts of service, and many efforts toward justice, reconciliation, and peace.
Though not yet outwardly fully born, it is alive and growing stronger by the day. It is growing beneath the surface of the world, like a seed waiting for the right season, like the first light moving beneath the horizon before sunrise.
Our duty is to nourish that seed. Our duty is to keep that light alive. Our duty is to help build the sacred structure whose foundation has already been placed in the hearts of humanity by the Creator of All Good Things.
This work begins within each of us. We must cleanse our own hearts of hatred, prejudice, pride, fear, and despair. We must watch our words so that our tongues become instruments of healing rather than harm.
We must examine our motives so that our service is not guided by ego, resentment, or the desire to control others. We must deepen our prayers so that our actions are guided by the Spirit, not merely by reacting to the world’s confusion.
But this work cannot remain only inward. The inner fire must become outward service. Prayer must become action. Vision must become structured. Love must become justice. Hope must become an organized effort.
Unity must become real relationships among peoples, Nations, communities, faiths, cultures, and generations. The sacred teachings must be embodied in the way we govern, educate, share resources, protect Mother Earth, care for the vulnerable, and make decisions together.
In this hour, we must not allow the world’s darkness to enter our hearts and make us bitter. We must not allow the violence of the age to make us violent in spirit. We must not allow society’s confusion to make us lose our direction. We must not allow the failures of old systems to make us believe that healing is impossible. The Creator of All Good Things has not abandoned our Human Family.
We must continue with undimmed vision. We must continue with patient hearts. We must continue with disciplined love. We must continue with faith that the Dawn is real, even while the night still surrounds us.
The duty of this sacred hour belongs to everyone. Elders must guide with wisdom. Youth must rise with courage. Women must be honored in their full spiritual power.
Men must become protectors and servants of life. Two-Spirit relatives must be respected within the circle. They have much to share.
Spiritual communities must become bridges of love. Indigenous Nations must bring forward the ancient teachings of relationship. All people must bring their gifts to the council of the Human Family.
No one is too small to serve this vision. Every act of kindness strengthens the Sacred Hoop. Every prayer for peace adds light to the world. Every word of truth spoken with love helps clear the path. Every effort to reconcile, to forgive, to protect, to teach, to feed, to shelter, to heal, to organize, and to uplift becomes part of the great work of this age.
The world before us will not be built by wishful thinking. It will require sacrifice, discipline, consultation, and perseverance. It will require us to keep walking even when the path is difficult. It will require us to work together across differences. It will require us to remember that unity is not only a feeling but also a daily practice. It will require us to become the change we are praying for.
This is the sacred responsibility now placed before the Human Family: to help bring into visible form a world guided by justice, protected by peace, enriched by diversity, sustained by Mother Earth, and illuminated by Spirit. This is not the work of one lifetime only. It is the work of generations. But every generation must do its part, and this is our part.
Let us therefore rise in the strength of the Great Spirit. Let us walk with the guidance of Wakan Tanka. Let us trust the wisdom of the Great Mystery. Let us serve the Divine Plan of our Creator of All Good Things with humility, courage, and love.
The old world is crumbling, but a new world is being born. The Sacred Hoop has been wounded, but it is being restored. The Human Family has wandered far, but the Red Road home is still open and calling. Mother Earth has suffered greatly, but her healing is still possible.
May we be faithful to this sacred hour. May we keep the fire of hope alive. May we become builders of unity, protectors of peace, servants of justice, and relatives to all life. And may the Creator of All Good Things guide the whole Human Family toward the promised Dawn, when all peoples will remember that we are one family, one circle, one sacred trust, walking together upon one Mother Earth.
Part 19: Closing Vision and Sacred Summary
This all carries one great message: our Human Family is passing through a sacred turning point. The old world is disintegrating because it can no longer sustain the weight of separation, injustice, greed, violence, prejudice, and forgetfulness of the Creator. Yet this crumbling is not only a sign of collapse. It is also a sign of birth. Something sacred is being born and coming forth.
Our Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator and the Creator of All Good Things, is calling all peoples back into the right relationship. This call is not to one Nation, one religion, one race, or one culture alone. It is a call to all members of ourHuman Family. It is a call to remember that we are relatives, that Mother Earth is sacred, that all life is connected, and that the future must be built upon unity, justice, truth, humility, and love.
The world’s suffering reveals that human plans and designs alone cannot heal humanity’s sickness. Policies, institutions, treaties, economies, and governments have their place, but without Spirit at the center, they cannot reach the root of the wound. The deepest wound is separation: separation from the Creator, from Mother Earth, from one another, and from the generations yet unborn.
The healing medicine is the Oneness of the Human Family. This Oneness is not sameness. It is unity in diversity. It is the beauty of many peoples, languages, cultures, ceremonies, faiths, and Nations brought together in one Sacred Hoop.
Each person carries a gift. Each Nation carries a memory. Each language carries a way of seeing. Each sincere spiritual path carries a light. When these gifts are honored together, the Human Family becomes stronger, wiser, and more beautiful.
The future World Commonwealth can be understood as the Sacred Hoop restored at the level of our whole Mother Earth. It is a just order in which no Nation may freely harm another, in which peace is protected by a Binding Planetary Peace Treaty to End War, in which law serves life, in which consultation replaces domination, in which the vulnerable are safeguarded, in which Mother Earth is honored, and in which all peoples are treated as members of one living body.
This teaching also reminds us that Universal Peace must become a Sacred Covenant in the hearts of humanity. Peace cannot live only on paper. It must live in hearts, homes, communities, Nations, and institutions. It must be protected by justice. It must be nourished by prayer.
Universal Peace must be practiced through consultation, reconciliation, humility, truthfulness, and service. The weapons of war must become tools of life, and the world’s wealth must be turned toward healing, education, clean water, food, shelter, cultural restoration, and the protection of our Mother Earth.
The means for world unity now exist. The sacred web of relationships has become visible through communication, travel, knowledge, and global interdependence. Yet connection alone is not unity. Technology alone is not wisdom.
The outer instruments of this age must be guided by spiritual maturity. The powers now placed in human hands must be directed by reverence, responsibility, compassion, and the sacred law that all things are related.
This is why the eternal truths must be restated for this age. The ancient wisdom that all life is connected must be spoken again in a language the whole Human Family can understand.
Spirit must guide governance, education, economics, science, technology, peacebuilding, and the care of Mother Earth. Prayer must become action. Love must become justice. Vision must become structure. Hope must become an organized service.
The road ahead will not be easy. Every great healing first looks impossible. Every widening of the circle meets resistance. Every new Dawn rises through darkness. The Human Family may pass through severe ordeals, but those tests can awaken conscience, cleanse old illusions, and prepare humanity for greater responsibility.
We do not glorify suffering, but we recognize that even in hardship, our Great Spirit brings forth wisdom, humility, compassion, justice and transformation.
Our duty in this sacred hour is clear. We must keep the Sacred Fire alive. We must cleanse our own hearts of hatred, prejudice, pride, and despair. We must strengthen unity among the peoples. We must serve the healing of Mother Earth.
We must protect the children, honor the elders, uplift women, respect Two-Spirit relatives, restore Indigenous wisdom, and bring every sincere voice into the great council of the Human Family.
The Sacred Hoop has been wounded, but it can be restored. The Human Family has wandered far, but the path home is still open. Mother Earth has suffered greatly, but healing is still possible. The old world is trembling, but the new Dawn is already rising.
