Many more steps to go for all dimensions of the vast and ongoing damage of colonization of Canada and the Americas to be resolved. At the same time, although the Government of Canada paid $25 Million to bring Pope Francis to Canada, after the prayers and pressures of our Indigenous communities and allies, before he left Canada, he admitted to Genocide, which opened a big legal door toward reparations.
The Government of Canada and the other churches have never admitted to Genocide, knowing the legal implications! What happened across the Americas, the Pacific, India, Australia, New Zealand, or anywhere that was not considered "Christian." It was committed by most European "Christian Nations."
Also, genocide was committed against our Irish relatives and others who were "Christians" but considered inferior.
Even more, the Government of Canada has no right to criticize anyone, with the current deplorable conditions, like unclean water and missing and murdered Indigenous women, and abject poverty found throughout Canada on Indigenous lands and urban areas. The Government of Canada needs to look at thier past and present behavior just as much as the Catholic Church or any other Colonial Institution!
From my perspective, what was done as a result of the Papal Bulls and the Doctrine of Discovery had nothing to do with the teachings of love and forgiveness of Jesus. I call it Churchianity, not Christianity. In fact, the Genocide committed was evil, and this is a word that I rarely use.
At the same time, it is essential to remember that, just like today, most human family members have been lied to about what happened or is happening today. And I have found that only abused people, abuse people, only hurt people, hurt people and only colonized people, colonize people.
My primary energy during this last "quarter of my life" is together, Unify Our Human Family, End War, and Begin Peace on Earth by 2030. This has nothing to do with any Agenda for a great reset, etc. This Vision and Purpose have to do directly with the Sacred Prophecies and Will of Our Creator and the Ancient of Days.
