With great love and respect, I was at the Climate Accord Conference in Paris, December, 2015 and in New York when it was signed at the United Nations on Mother Earth Day on April 22, 2016. This non-binding agreement completely left out the voices of Indigenous Peoples and gives no real insurance that any Nation State will be required to take action to stop climate change.
The International Treaty to Protect and Restore Mother Earth signed by Indigenous Leaders from across the Americas and Indonesia, in New York on Mother Earth Day, April 22, 2016 , is what needs to be implemented if we are to survive the oncoming, growing challenges of Climate Change. As my father always said to me, " Strong Medicine is bitter, but if you water it down and water it down, you will end up with nothing!"
