The Life of our Soul after our Physical Death
Our soul is independent of and the very medium through which our body exsists. If our body is destroyed, our soul and spirit remain unharmed.
Our soul, our human spirit, is independent of our physical body. Our soul is free and sanctified, above and beyond, this physical plane of existence. The connection of our spirit and soul with our body is like the connection between a lamp and a mirror. If the mirror is polished and perfected, the light of the lamp appears, but if the mirror is broken or covered with dust, the light remains concealed.
Our rational soul—the human spirit—does not descend into our bodies or exist through our physical bodies. Just the opposite. Our soul is the very substance upon which our body depends for existence.
Our soul is endowed from the beginning with its own individuality. Our soul does not acquire it through the medium of the body. At most, the individuality and identity of our soul may be strengthened in this physical world.
Depending on our decisions and choices, our soul may either progress and attain perfection or remain in the lowest state of ignorance, veiled from and deprived of beholding the signs of our Beloved Creator. The choice is ours!
