The greatest danger of artificial intelligence, along with its environmental impacts, is not merely that machines may take our jobs, surpass our analytical abilities, or produce knowledge humans can no longer understand. It is that we may gradually organize society around the belief that human beings are unnecessary, that consciousness, relationship, love, understanding, and spiritual presence are secondary to efficiency and measurable results.
