The Eighth Fire Prophecy is a traditional teaching among Indigenous peoples of the Eagle, particularly the Anishinaabe. It reminds us of our collective responsibility to choose unity and peace, inspiring hope for a harmonious future.
The First Fire was when Indigenous people received their original instructions and teachings. It was a time of balance and harmony.
The Second Fire marks a time when Indigenous peoples began to wander and seek new lands in response to pressure from other groups. It was a time of migration and adaptation.
The Third Fire represents the time when Indigenous peoples first settled their homelands on Turtle Island, and their populations experienced significant growth. It was a time of prosperity and growth.
The Fourth Fire symbolizes a period of conflict and struggle among Indigenous nations, brought about by the arrival of European settlers. It was a time of war and disease.
The Fifth Fire signifies a crucial moment of decision, urging us to reflect on the paths of destruction and renewal and emphasizing the importance of our choices for the future.
The Sixth Fire marked a time of rebirth and revival, as Indigenous peoples began to heal and renew their spiritual and cultural practices after a period of turmoil.
The Seventh Fire is characterized by the emergence of “New People” who seek guidance from the Elders but find that many Elders are either asleep or have nothing to offer. The New People must be cautious in their approach. At this time, the light-skinned race faces a critical choice between destruction and returning to the wisdom of and cooperation with Indigenous peoples.
The Eighth Fire: The eighth fire is the final stage, where humanity faces the choice made in the seventh fire. If the people, including the light-skinned race, choose the right path of unity, peace, and cooperation, the eighth fire will be lit. This will usher in a golden age of peace, love, brotherhood, and sisterhood. However, if they make the wrong choice, the destructive forces that came with colonization will return, causing suffering and death to all.
The Seventh and Eighth Fires prophecy a critical juncture in human history, at which we are called to make choices that lead to a harmonious, peaceful future or to continued conflict and suffering. The fires serve as a reminder to respect and learn from Indigenous wisdom and traditions, fostering unity and peace.
The Union of the Condor Hummingbird, Quetzal, Eagle, and Four Worlds has chosen the Path of the Eighth Fire—the Sacred Path to Unite Humanity and Restore Mother Earth.

The ashes from the original lighting of the 8th Fire are now increasingly being shared with Sacred Prayers and Fires everywhere on Mother Earth.
