Even if President Obama holds the Dakota Access Pipeline up, until he formally leaves Office, the final decision will be up to President-Elect Trump. If he decides to go forward with the Pipeline, as planned, his first months as President, if the Water Protectors are faithful to their words, will likely turn bloody at Standing Rock and beyond. If he reroutes the Pipeline, President-Elect Trump has the positive opportunity to address a lot of interrelated fear.
