We must train our eyes to see the sacred worth in every human being. In each person, there is something noble, something worthy of respect, something placed there by the Creator.
When we look for what is good in our relatives, our hearts become wider. We are able to walk as friends with the whole Human Family, because we are no longer standing outside the circle judging others. We are standing within the circle, looking for the light that still lives in every soul.
But when we look at people only through their faults, friendship becomes difficult. The heart becomes heavy, the mind becomes critical, and the sacred bond between us begins to weaken.
So we must choose a higher way. We must look first for the good, speak to the good, encourage the good, and help the good to grow. In this way, we become true relatives to all peoples and servants of the healing of the world.
