Second Day as a Monk: Chants, Meditation and Bare Feet

Today, after sunrise, chants and meditation.

Strange, all the chants are in Sanscrit, but I can chant all the sounds. I must say, although people told me it was very austere and challenging being a monk, including having your hair and eyebrows shaved, no jewelry, including rings, any other ornamentation, aftershave, or anything unnatural, as well as going barefoot and other disciplines, I am having a great time. It has been one of the best of my life, and I am only into my second day.

You are allowed to wear flip-flops when outside, but aI am loving going barefoot so my feet may fully be on the life-giving skin of Mother Earth.

As one of the ways to make merit as a monk, I am allowed to write about the Spirit in my free time, and I am immensely enjoying my one-fingered typing, as well! Hoka Hey! It is a good day to live!
