Rise With Standing Rock at the National Cathedral Tonight

RISE TONIGHT WITH STANDING ROCK AT THE NATIONAL CATHEDRAL

Tonight, March 9, to spiritually initiate the Rise With Standing Rock Four Day Gathering and Ceremony in Washington, DC, thousands will gather at the National Cathedral in Washington DC to demonstrate their prayerful support for Standing Rock and the protection and restoration of clean water everywhere on Mother Earth.

This prayerful and peaceful Gathering will bring together representatives of more than 300 First Nations and many allies, including 2000 Episcopal Ministers. Thier goal is to have no arrests during thIs Four Day Gathering and Ceremony.

Ihanktowan Elder Faith Spotted Eagle will speak to all the relatives gathered from the High Altar at the National Cathedral, surrounded by the Statues of the Saints of the Ages. As Tanksi Faith speaks, her Great Grandfather, Tipi Sapa, Philip Deloria, will be standing to support on Faith's heart side. Tipi Sapa's statue is the third one up on the right side.

Tipi Sapa spiritually served all Seven Districts of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation for 40 years, 1890-1930.During his time of Tipi Sapa's Spiritual Leadership, there was not one divorce on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. While Tipi Sapa was the first ordained Native American Episcopal Minister, Tipi Sapa never gave up his Chieftainship of the White Swan Oyate, Ihanktowan Nation.

Tipi Sapa always supported the retention of the Dakota Language and Culture. Everything he did and said was in Dakota and Lakota. By the time Tipi Sapa died, 33 men had given him their death songs.

Shortly after Tipi Sapa arrived at Standing Rock, he was formally adopted at a Hunka Ceremony by Chief Gall, as Gall's the younger brother. During that Ceremony Chief Gall gave his younger brother, 1000 acres of land to establish the Saint Elizabeth Church and School on a hill above Wakpala and the Missouri River.

During that Ceremony, Tipi Sapa received many horses and cattle from his elder brother, Chief Gall, so that Tipi Sapa could travel and serve the Seven Districts of Standing Rock, across the Oceti Sakowin, frequent visits to White Swan and feed the many Hunkpapa and Ihanktonwan children who attended the St Paul's School. After Tipi Sapa's death, his daughter, Ella Deloria, was the leader of St. Elizabeth's School for years.

It is not an accident the great Ecumenical Prayer Ceremony held on December 10, at Standing Rock was co-lead by Chief Arvol Looking Horse and Episcopal Minister Victor Kazanjian, Jr., Executive Director of the United Religions Initiative (URI). The URI has organized Interfaith Cooperation in more than 90 Nations around Mother Earth. Or that 2000 Episcopal Priests are coming to Washington DC to prayerfully and peacefully support Standing Rock.

What occurred at Standing Rock, this past year, birthed a Global Spiritual Movement of Prayer, Peace, Compassion and Justice that finally, no Wall of Steel or Tower Brass will be able to withstand, as prophesied
