Have you forgotten that true and radiant morning, when we gathered together in those sacred and blessed surroundings, beneath the sheltering branches of the Tree of Life planted in the everlasting garden of Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka?
Filled with wonder and reverence, we listened as the voice of Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka spoke these three sacred teachings:
O relatives! Do not place your own will before the will of Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka. Do not seek what Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka has not prepared for you. And do not approach Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka with hearts that have become lifeless—hearts burdened and clouded by worldly desires, cravings, and attachments.
If we would cleanse and sanctify our souls, freeing our hearts from all that separates us from the Great Mystery, we would remember—even at this very hour—that sacred place, those blessed surroundings, and the covenant we made in Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka's presence.
Then the truth of those sacred words would become clear within every heart. We would remember who we are, why we have come into this world, and the sacred path that Wakȟáŋ Tȟáŋka has placed before us. Inspired by the Hidden Words.
