After being held up in Munich for one day due to my flight coming in late from Sarajevo, I am in the Munich Airport preparing to leave non-stop to Vancouver. Very expensive here! The US Dollar is only worth $.73 US. A hamburger and fries cost 20 EUROS.
I had Thai food. It cost almost 30 EUROS. Thankfully, Lufthansa Airlines paid for most of that! The Thai food is great, but nothing can come close to my beloved wife's Thai cooking! Her's is the best!
This is Walla Walla High School friend Mike Friedman and me in Munich in September 1962. I was very friendly in those days, but I had a problem with bullies.
This led to some physical confrontations, mostly with the US Military stationed in Europe, but as well with five Algerians in Paris, some young Italians in Rome and six Germans here in Munich. Each of these confrontations has a story that is being included in my book.
Have a great day!
