Reflections on the Vietnam War After a Journey to Hanoi

Just returned from a great journey to Hanoi! Everyone treated me with the utmost hospitality and care.

It was also a heart-moving learning process. This is another side of the story regarding the Vietnam war. There were 3 Million Vietnamese killed, 6 Million suffered from very negative impacts from Agent Orange ( including wide-spread birth defects) and continue to suffer until this generation. The number of wounded and injured including soldiers and civilians , gives Vietnam one of the highest handicapped rates in the world!

When we add in the great suffering of our beloved ones who fought and died there and their families that were impacted ,as well, was it really worth it? This is not to just look back , but to ask ourselves about what is happening today around Mother Earth and the possible conflicts being contemplated in the future.
