Preparing to Travel South With Care for All Life

Getting prepared to ride South into U.S. COVID-19 strongholds. I would not travel unless it was of significant importance and essential.

While some relatives may laugh or make fun that this is overly protective, I know my beloved parents and our wise elders would always do whatever necessary to protect life. They would never take any chance with the life of any relative, including their own. They truly understood that the Hurt of One is the hurt of All!

How many relatives and families, over the past months, wished they would have worn masks and practiced social distancing after they contracted COVID-19 and infected others? How many relatives, as they slowly suffocated, wished they would have made safer choices? Humility, not arrogance, is the Path of our wise elders!

While we may never know the full story of how COVID-19 started, it is a killer. I saw my neighbor, two doors away, carried away in a tube two months ago. I have never seen him since. Suthida's uncle in New York died from COVID-19, as well.

It does not appear COVID-19 and similar coronaviruses will be leaving anytime soon. I fully agree with our Elder Sister Jane Goodall, “It’s because we disregard our place in the natural world and we disrespect the environment and animals that COVID-19 happened.

Viruses can spill over onto humans in situations like our intensive farming with animals, and also in the meat markets in Asia and Africa. It’s because of our lack of respect for the environment that this terrible COVID-19 virus has shut down the world.”

As for Suthida, Tiger, and I, we are doing our best to be vegetarian.
