Owl Man and the Ancestral Law Protecting Women

My Great-Grandfather, Hinhan Wicasta, Owl Man, was told in a great vision that he received on Medicine Butte, that he would kill four men in his life. Of the four, one was a Son-in-Law who abused his daughter and one was a brother-in-law who abused his sister.

After he killed each of these men, he went to an isolated place outside the Tipi Circle, unarmed. If any of the men's relatives felt the killing of their relative was injust that had the right to come and kill him. No one came!
