With the niece of George Manuel, who was a great teacher of mine in the 1970's and 1980's, Sister Mona Polacca, and Brother, Chief Mike Leech at the opening day of the 9th International Indigenous Leadership Gathering (IILG). Chief Mike and his beloved wife Gail Kreiser Leech were primary coordinators of this years Gathering as Brother, Chief Darrell Bob and his beloved wife Theresa Fenton-Bob were the primary coordinators of past IILG Gatherings.
The greatest heartfelt praise, thanksgiving and appreciation for the St'at'imc Nation Chiefs, Councils, Communities and all the the many volunteers and organizations that selflessly supported the IILG for the past nine years! There was not one member of the Human Family that was not graciously welcomed, fed, watered and had a place to camp , without cost, for all nine years of the Gathering, within the St'at'imc Nation Protocols of Hospitality!
