We cannot build lasting peace upon injustice. We cannot build trust upon deception. We cannot destroy the web of life and expect our children to flourish. We cannot violate our relationships indefinitely without experiencing the consequences.
No amount of money can purchase an exemption from these realities. No army can overthrow them. No government, corporation, institution, or individual can place itself above them. The belief that physical power grants spiritual immunity is one of the most dangerous illusions a human being can carry.
