April 19, 2019, Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.
My last time in this physical world with Tonja Toni.
Great to Gallop again. As the stirrups were too long, it was like riding bareback, but once I moved into a gallop, it was like returning to Heaven with my beloved father, Mato Gi.
When I went up, and back down, hitting the Saddle, when our horse relative went into a gap, was so shocking to my spin, that I thought I was paralyzed for sure. But you keep riding until you are bucked or fall off.
But once I started galloping, I did not want to stop. Mato Gi, my father, Brown Bear, was with me every step of my ride.
And yes, I mounted, by myself, as I did, in my teens, when we rounded up, roped, flanked, cut, and branded calves, with beloved relatives, on the Sherwood Ranch, Wakpala, Standing Rock!
As a "good cowboy" does not show his pain, I kept smiling. Pretty dumb teaching, I have clearly found.
Nine months later, after having tried every other alternative, a chiropractor, yoga, core exercises, etc., I found myself, after nine months, on an operating table.
Today, I am very thankful that I am in far greater health than before my ill-fated horse ride. And I have accepted that this was my last horse ride in this physical place of time and space.
But, through this experience, I am learning how to ride my spiritual horses, with greater and greater, balance and grace. And when the time comes, I am ready to ride into the Other Side Camp with great gratitude, joy, and happiness!
As my beloved father used to often tell me, " Son, if you can't be happy today, what day are you waiting for????"
