My Father's Words on the Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

My beloved father always told me there was no reason whatsoever to drop atomic bombs on Japan. He said Japan was totally defeated, starving, and surrounded, and it was just a matter of time before Japan unconditionally surrendered.

The Atomic Bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6th and 9th, 1945, killed between 129,000 and 226,000 human relatives, almost all civilians.

Whenever my father heard about the bombings or saw pictures of the people killed, burned, and maimed, especially children, he would become angry and tell his perspective on these unnecessary bombings. He began sharing this with me when I was a young boy.
