My Father, Baseball, and Learning I Was Near-Sighted

My beloved father loved to play baseball. I did my best to play, but we didn’t know I was near-sighted.

So many times, when I tried to catch the ball I missed the ball, sometimes hitting me, sometimes in my head and other places on my body.

Thankfully, we eventually, when I was eight we went to a “Eye Doctor,” and found I was about 20/400 near sighted. That’s when I realized when you are born near sighted, you think that it’s normal and everyone sees the same way, until you learn otherwise.

This also applies to our world view, until we learn otherwise! Let us all keep our minds and hearts open to the possibility that we all may be “near sighted,” Spirituality, culturally, and Intellectuality!
