A love that anyone may have had for anyone will not be forgotten in the spiritual world, nor will we forget the life we lived in this physical world.
In the spiritual world, we will recognize one another. There, we will naturally seek a deep and sacred spiritual union with those we have loved.
The relationship between our soul and our body is like the connection between a lamp and a mirror. If the mirror is polished and perfected, the radiant light of the lamp shines forth clearly for all to see. But if the mirror is broken or covered with dust and imperfections, the light remains concealed, even though the lamp itself continues to burn brightly.
Our rational soul. The human spirit does not descend into our bodies or exist through them. It is the other way around. Our soul is the true substance, the essential foundation upon which our body depends for its existence.
The soul has no gender, no race, no ethnicity, and no class. This fundamental truth makes all forms of prejudice, discrimination, and separation not only wrong but spiritually intolerable and unacceptable. The soul is not divided. It is a pure and perfect reflection of the Oneness of our Creator.
Our soul is endowed with its own unique individuality from the very beginning of its existence in this physical world of time and space. It does not acquire or develop its individuality from the body.
The individuality and identity of our soul are strengthened, deepened, and beautifully refined in this physical world through the many spiritual tests, challenges, difficulties, and blessings we encounter during our lifetime.
Our soul is independent of the body and is the very source of its existence. If our body is destroyed, our soul and spirit remain completely unharmed and untouched.
Our soul, our human spirit, is independent of our physical body. It is free and sanctified, existing far beyond the limitations of this physical plane of time and space.
All the powers that distinguish us as human beings, reason, memory, abstract thought, creativity, inventiveness, and willpower, are all sacred properties of our soul, not of the body.
