One of the greatest honors that I have ever received was when I was voted, by my teammates, the Most Inspirational Player on my Walla Walla Blue Devil's Football Team. I also served as Co-Captain.
We had a great coach, Felix Fletcher, and a great team. With my 60th Class Reunion coming up this summer, one by one, more every year, the Class of 62, are going to the "Other Side Camp."
Some of my teammates called me a "berserk bowling ball." I did put everything I had into every play. My father told me if you tackled or blocked someone with your full force, you were less likely to get hurt than if you flinched, in any way.
