Living Ceremony is not a lifeless ritual or rote, empty prayers. Living Ceremony is filled with Creative Spirit. A living Ceremony is a Living Art Form that combines different Art Forms.
Our Human Family uses four different symbol systems to mediate our relationships with worlds around us. Mathmatics mediates our experience with the physical world. Language, spoken and unspoken, mediates our experience within our Human World. Dreams mediate our experience with ourselves, and the Arts mediate our experience with the unknown or spiritual worlds.
The Sun Dances in the early 1980s at Little Eagle that I had the blessing to participate in, facilitated by Pete Caches Sr. and assisted by Art Amiotttee, were a great work of Ceremonial Art. I have found the Sacred Japanese Ceremonies in Kyoto and here at the Oomooto Foundation were very creatively intricate, beautiful, and filled with the Holy Spirit.
