This is real perseverance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I understand why many relatives find it challenging to see any goodness in Lincoln, including myself, because of the mass hangings of Dakotas Lincoln ordered. The Army and civilians wanted to hang 303 relatives. Lincoln lowered the number to 38. It was still the largest, by far, mass hanging in US History.
While that action was horrific and more than regrettable, there were other actions taken by Lincoln that took great courage during the Civil War. Whatever grave mistakes he made, although we still have a long way to go, our African relatives were emancipated. World peace will take a lot of forgiveness, a spiritual quality I am doing my best to work on.
