Dekshi John Emhoolah (Kiowa) and his Beloved Wife, Geneva, prayed for us at the first Native American Church Ceremony (NAC), in the State of Washington in 1976. This was before there was a Washington State NAC Charter. We did and do not believe we have the approval or agreement of the State of Washinton, to pray as our ancestors, prayed.
This first NAC Ceremony was held at the Day Break Star Center, in a former military barrack, in Discovery Park, Seattle. Dekshi John was the Cedar Man.
