Indigenous Women's Strong Words to Premier John Horgan in Context

Indigenous Women Express Strong Words and Feelings to John Horgan, Premier of "British Columbia."

It is very important to put the strong feelings and words of this young sister, in context, that she is expressing to John Horgan, Premier of "British Columbia," and the strong support of her Indigenous sisters.

The Government of Canada invaded and occupied British Columbia with force. Treaties were never made. British Columbia, except 5% is unceded, Sovereign, Indigenous Lands, of First Nations. The Government of Canada simply took it. In many communities, up to 80-90 % of the Indigenous peoples died from disease and Genocide.

As well, Indigenous children were forcibly put into residential schools to purposefully strip them of thier culture, language, and spirituality. In the words of Duncan Cambell, Minister of "Indian Affairs", for many years, and who was responsible for Canada's Residential Schools, "Indian Problem? There will be no Indian Problem in two generations because there will be no more Indians."

The Governments of Canada and British Columbia are just beginning to realize that Indigenous peoples and the many Allies of our Human Family have had enough. And, as profecied, the Indigenous peoples of the Americas are arising from a very long spiritual wintertime, stronger than ever before.

Just think of the arrogance of forcibly and illegally taking over thier land, forcibly taking, abusing, and murdering thier children. Then, naming places that they illegally occupied with names like British Columbia, Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, Prince Rupert, Prince George, King George Blvd., the Queen Charlotte Island, and on and on.

So it is essential to put the feelings and words of our Indigenous sister in context. As my father always told me, " Son, if you can feel it, you can heal it. If you can talk about it, you can understand it.

With the uncovering of the bodies of the 215 children at the Kamloops Residential School, an emotional dam has broken and hurt, and pain is being released!

In this healing process, Indigenous peoples, more and more, will no longer allow colonialism and the symbols of colonialism to remain on our Indigenous lands. Just as the Heida's did not allow the name the Queen Charlotte Islands to remain. It is now called Heida Gwaii.

So what will the new names be for Victoria, Vancouver,

Prince George, Prince Rupert, colonially named streets and the name British Columbia, itself. I am sure that no Nation-State on Mother Earth would allow another Nation-State to illegally, take thier land, and rename it with colonial names.
