IndigeNet: Supporting Indigenous Artists and a Digital Backbone for the Union

Supporting Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, musicians, artists, their allies, and partners, including creating an Indigenous platform, IndigeNet is paramount in promoting the vision and goals of the Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle. Here's why:

1) Amplifying Indigenous voices: Indigenous artists possess unique perspectives, wisdom, and knowledge that can contribute significantly to fostering understanding, climate change, promoting social justice, and bridging cultural gaps. Supporting Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, musicians, and artists and providing a platform (Indigenet) for their voices to be heard and their stories to be shared, challenging stereotypes and enriching the cultural landscape

2)Cultural preservation and revitalization: Indigenous art forms are essential cultural heritage components. By supporting Indigenous artists, their work can help preserve and revitalize traditional practices, languages, and customs. This contributes to Indigenous communities' cultural resilience and pride, fostering a sense of identity and connection to their heritage.

3)Challenging colonial narratives: Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, musicians, and artists often offer alternative narratives to challenge the dominant colonial perspectives. Their work sheds light on the historical and ongoing experiences of Indigenous Peoples, highlighting the injustices they face and promoting a more nuanced understanding of their struggles and aspirations.

4)Creating dialogue and understanding: Indigenous art can engage diverse audiences and foster dialogue across cultures. It can evoke empathy, promote cross-cultural understanding, and challenge preconceived notions. Supporting Indigenous artists and their allies facilitates meaningful conversations and the sharing of diverse perspectives, ultimately contributing to unity in diversity.

5)Economic empowerment: Supporting Indigenous artists economically enables them to sustain their creative practices and contribute to the socio-economic well-being of their communities. This support can be in the form of fair compensation for their work, access to resources and opportunities, and fostering inclusive spaces for their art to be showcased and appreciated.

6)Inspiration and role models: Indigenous artists serve as role models within their communities, inspiring younger generations to embrace their cultural heritage and pursue creative paths. By supporting and recognizing Indigenous artists, society can promote their essential contributions and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

7) Cultural exchange and collaboration: Supporting Indigenous artists encourages cooperation and cultural exchange between Indigenous Peoples and their colonial/capitalist relatives. This collaboration can foster mutual respect, understanding, and learning, leading to the co-creation of new art forms that celebrate the diversity of cultural expressions.

By actively supporting Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, journalists, musicians, artists, and their allies, society can honor Indigenous wisdom, perspectives, understanding, and knowledge. In addition, this support contributes to the Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle's broader vision and goals while promoting a more inclusive and equitable society.

This initiative also respectfully recognizes and welcomes other members of our Human Family who are partners and allies of Indigenous filmmakers, storytellers, journalists, musicians, and artists to support and participate in IndigeNet.

This Four Worlds Media Initiative is called IndigeNet.

A primary focus of the Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and the Eagle in 2023 is building the Union on a Digital Communication Backbone across the Americas.

Four Worlds Foundation Panama is facilitating this development. This falls under a global technological umbrella initiative we have entitled IndigeNet.

The IndigeNet brand and its attendant programs and services will be promoted and implemented through two channels of distribution, one centered on cultural media (e.g., films, music, fine arts, documentaries, and journalism).

The second is based on creating an international decentralized digital network utilizing emerging technologies and open-source systems to propel 21st Century social, educational, cooperation, and unification.

The Indigenous participants and others who choose to join this network will be able to unify and preserve their individual and collective cultural legacies, sharing of knowledge and mutually beneficial prosperity and economic gain at a lower distributed cost.

The primary objective for implementing these tools is to accomplish "The Digital Fourth Way" – a way to preserve, promote and leave a lasting legacy for the world and future generations of Indigenous culture, wisdom, and spiritual values.

We must establish this type of technological infrastructure to promote the goals and purposes of the Union, ensure individual and community sovereignty, and promote our unifying and peacemaking efforts.

The concept of a modern international technological framework for the specific benefit of sovereign Indigenous peoples has been under formation for more than a decade. Fortunately, the IT tools are now readily available to make this a reality. Four Worlds Panama and its FWGII partners have registered and purchased the most prominent online domains and will trademark IndigeNet. However, the central hub domain we have chosen is indigenet.io.

The technological design involves the integrated use of:

Advanced Open-source Operating Systems

Cloud Storage

Cryptography

Containerized Computing

Distributed Ledger Technology

Data Mining. And

Sovereign ID Management Systems

Decentralized IndigeNet nodes will formulate their own Cloud and terrestrial-level solutions by developing a hybrid Web 3.0 stack of micro-services and downloadable Dapps.
