Just found out my beloved sister, Gloria Nahanee has gone to the Other Side Camp. My heartfelt prayer and condolences to her family! A great loss to the Salish Nation and all who knew her.
I met her and her beloved husband, Kieth, in 1975. She is the grandmother of the Squamish Smoke House and, along with her beloved husband Kieth and Uncle Vince Stoggin, were primary to the revitalization throughout the Salish Nation in revitalizing the Smoke House Ceremonies.
I have never met a more loving, caring, compassionate, kind, and prayerful sister than sister Gloria. In my life, I have found that beloved ones usually go in threes. I wondered who the third would be, and then I got the news that she was the first, before Brother Kevin and Sister Sacheen, to make the Journey.
Love you, beloved sister, and we will all be together again in our Creator's sacred time!
