Justice is finally being delivered to one of the primary sources of our "Opioid Pandemic."
What is even more important is that a Sacred Plant, Iboga or Ibogaine, shared by our Indigenous relatives of Gabon, Africa, has the medical capacity, with complete medical safety, to remove the addiction to opioids for up to four months, depending on aftercare.
This clear evidence has been before the Government of Canada for more than three years. While the bureaucracy does not expect approval for another three years, 1000's of Canadians have needlessly died and will needlessly die from opioid overdoses across Canada, many of them Indigenous peoples.
This does not include the untold suffering, pain, and hurt of a living addict and those loved ones of the addict.
At this point in history, the Government of Canada has clearly neither right nor the capacity whatsoever to dictate to Indigenous Peoples how we deliver healthcare and wellness on our Sovereign Indigenous Territories across Canada and beyond.
The Government of Canada is the direct cause of the Intergenerational Trauma and Lateral Violence, through Canadian Residential Schools and other ongoing Colonial Actions, being faced today by Indigenous peoples across Canada.
The Government of Canada has no legal or moral right to interfere with the Health and Welfare of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada, other than to provide the resources and funds, justly deserved, to our Indigenous peoples, under Indigenous Leadership, to rebuild our Indigenous Nations and Communities and Beyond!
As well, it should be noted, in case there is any rejection of the reality that the Government of Canada is still a Colonial Nation-State, it is the Unanimous and United Statement of Indigenous Federal Employees, representing 22 different Federal Departments within the Government of Canada, in a report, just released, that "The Government of Canada is still a Colonial Government!"
When a Sacred Agreement, Contract, Treaty, or Covenant is made, when one side breaks it, as has the Government of Canada, that Sacred Agreement, Contract, Treaty, or Covenant becomes null and void.
And then there are the Treaties in the US, all violated, and the outright theft of the lands and genocide of the Indigenous landowners across Latin America. Time for Justice and a true "reset" that benefits all members of our Human Family justly. # #
