According to our Jewish relatives, the seventh day of Sukkot is called Hoshana Rabbah and is considered the final day of the yearly Divine “Judgment” in which the fate of our coming New Year is determined. It is the day when the Divine verdict that was issued on Rosh Hashanah, Sundown, September 20 and Yom Kippur, Sundown, September 30, is finalized.
The Midrash states that the Creator told Abraham: “If atonement is not granted to your children on Rosh Hashanah, I will grant it on Yom Kippur; if they do not attain atonement on Yom Kippur, it will be given on Hoshana Rabbah.”
This means we have until Sundown on October 11th to humble ourselves and come into complete alignment with our Beloved Creator and all our relationships. Before the gates close, May the verdict and decree, for our Human Family and ourselves for the New Year be positive!
