With my daughter Lisa, at the Monument overlooking the Missouri River that honors the Chiefs who signed our Ihanktowan Nation Treaty of 1858. Hinhan Wicasa, Owl Man, the last name on the list, is my Great-Great-Grandfather and is directed related to our many relatives of the White Swan People of the Ihanktowan Nation. Their love and hospitality to us during our seven-day visit was more than magnificent.
I have never known of any human beings on Mother Earth that are more loving, humble, kind, compassionate, prayerful, humorous, intelligent and courageous than my blood and hunka relatives in Yankton and the Standing Rock Reservations. No earthly wealth can compare, in any way, to the preciousness of their loving and compassionate hearts!
