My heartfelt condolences to all my Thai relatives, including my beloved Wife, on the loss of their King Bhumibol who served Thailand for more than 70 years. Having spent considerable time in Thailand and SE Asia since 1989, I also grieve for the loss of this good King who kept the peace and served the People of Thailand for many years. Since he became kIng, more than 70 years ago, he never left Thailand and his Thai relatives!
While there are contrary perspectives on the Thai Monarchy that have validity, I want to personally honor a man who did his very best to serve the People of Thailand, sometimes under harsh circumstances, such as the Vietnam War!
