Honoring 150 Years Since the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty

Members of the Oceti Sakowin, the Seven Council Fires of the Sioux Nation, other Indigenous Nations, and Allies, are now traveling to Ft Laramie, Wyoming. Their purpose is to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Fort Laramie Treaty, on April 29, 1868, with the Sioux Nation, (Both Treaties say Sioux Nation, not Great Sioux Nation). It is easy to see, in the images below, how the US Government broke the 1851 Treaty and replaced it with the Treaty of 1868.

Less than nine years later, Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer and the 7th Calvary attacked a peaceful and prayerful Sundance on June 25, 1876, being held on land guaranteed to the Sioux Nation by the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868. After Custer and the 7th Calvary was annihilated, the US Congress passed what is known a the " Surrender or Starve Bill" or the Agreement of 1877.

By November 1877, with Sitting Bull in Canada, and Crazy Horse assassinated on September 5, 1877, the US Government disregarded the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868. Despite the Surrender or Starve Bill, Sitting Bull was the last Hunkpapa Leader to surrender on July 20, 1881.

By 1889, the land promised in Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868, was broken into reservations and reduced to less than half of what was agreed to by the Treaty of 1868. On December 15, 1890, Sitting Bull was murdered, and fourteen days later, on December 29th, 1890, the newly resurrected 7th Calvary, massacred more than 300 defencelessly elders, children, women and men and women at Wounded Knee.

In parallel, when Columbus arrived in 1492, there were about 100 Million Indigenous Peoples living, in relative peace and harmony, across the Americas and more than 60,000,000 buffalo. By 1870 there were approximately 5, 000, 000 left. With the Starve or Surrender Act, by 1889 there less than 1000 Buffalo alive. Of the 100,000,000 Indigenous Peoples living across the Americas, less than 10,000,00 Peoples were left due to disease and genocide.

Despite all that has happened, Indigenous Peoples, are arising across the Americas, everywhere, all at once, as prophesied by Indigenous Visionaries across the Americas and beyond. Our beloved Tatanka (Buffalo ) relatives have increased at least 5000 times, to about 500,000.

What the Prophecies foretell, regarding the future of our Indigenous Peoples of the Americas, as we move forward into this new century, is even more astounding! This next stage of the Journey will be shared on June 21, 2018, World Peace and Prayer Day and United Nations declared, World Yoga Day!

Put on your seatbelts and hang on, the "Global Tezla Ludicrous Button" has just been pushed! Wopida Tanka!
