Healing Intergenerational Pain After Killers of the Flower Moon

Beloved Brother Jon drove up from Whidbey Island for a weekend visit. We had a great week working on Enlightening Our Way Together and having a great visit.

On Sunday, Brother Jon took Suthida, Tiger, and me to see Killers of the Flower Moon. I would have sobbed loudly if other people had not been in the theatre. Instead, I had to grit my teeth and do my best to hold back my tears, but some flowed.

At other times in the film, I understood why you could ride into battle without caring if you lived or died, wanting to inflict as much pain as possible against your enemy no matter how deep or how many wounds you received.

I did not realize that I still had these feelings deep inside me. This includes my own self-hatred for having some French and English blood, who fought and killed one another, who I never met in this physical world of time and space, and who committed genocide against my Irish, Chickasaw, and Dakota dimensions.

LOL! Healing can be a highly complex process until we realize we are One Human Family, and the hurt of one is the hurt of all, and the healing of one is the healing of all. Then there is Genghis Khan, another part of my DNA story.

I am very thankful for what my father taught me, " Son if you can feel it, you can heal it, and if you can talk about it, you can understand it! And when you do that, a weight is lifted off your soul you didn't even know you had.

Still, in the end, some relatives brought justice, with the same skin color as those who committed such evil because of their unbridled lust for maza ska, gold, and not a shred of goodness in their hearts.

At the same time, we need to remember in our healing process that only hurt people, hurt people, only abused people, abuse people, and only colonized people, colonize people. And the only thing that can dispel darkness is not more darkness but only light.

Ultimately, the victor is our Soul, Ancient, Imperishable, and everlasting, that has no race, gender, ethnicity, or class, and that makes prejudice, of any form, wholly unacceptable and intolerable.

Thankfully, we know from our prophecies and spiritual teachings that the Day will come when we meet another Human Being; all that we will see before us is another Soul within our transitory earth suits.

So, my heartfelt thanksgiving to everyone who dedicated themselves to making Killers of the Flower Moon. Especially those who endured this heartfelt suffering and their descendants who lived through it and continue to forgive, love, pray, sing, and dance.

It was a heartfelt healing experience for me. Because what I had to address was not their pain but my own intergenerational anger, grief, and pain deep within me that I didn't even know I still had.

And that we all share as a Human Family, one way or another!

Wakan Tanka, Pidamaya, Thank you! You are the ever-forgiving!
