Just finished four intensive days of great meetings with Indigenous Peoples and Allies in Panama! Looking forward to returning home to my Sweetheart and Beloved Son in the morning! Fourteen hour trip via Huston. The Government of Columbia wanted to build Transmission Lines from very dirty, yellow coal burning plants close to the border of Panama, north to Panama and on up through Cental America. The only viable route was through the unsurrendered, unceded lands of Guna Yala. (Reference point-San Blas Islands and related coast lands) The Guna General Congress said no! Thanks to our Guna relatives, the dirty coal project in Columbia is dead! I pray that all the 17 Nations of the Great Shuswap Nation and beyond will do the same to the Kinder Morgan Pipeline! Do we want our Granchildren to remember us as "Selling out our Cutures, Mother Earth, and our Future Generations" or Defenders of all we hold Sacred????????
