"Friend, Do It This Way": A Song of My Father's Sundance Counsel

The words to this song come directly from my beloved father, Mato Gi, Phil Sr., and the counsel he gave me when I started Sundancing in 1980 at Little Eagle, on the Standing Rock. " Friend, do it this way," is from one of the White Buffalo Calf Woman's Sundance songs he liked to quote. I created the music to share his words in a creative way.

I believe any Sundancer and others on the Red Road will resonate with my father's words. I hope you enjoy the musical expression.
