Four Worlds International Institute's Use of Artificial Intelligence

FWII's Use of Artificial Intelligence

For more than 44 years, the Four Worlds International Institute has developed its work through participatory research, long-term community engagement, and academically reviewed development models created in collaboration with Indigenous communities across the Americas and internationally.

The Sixteen Indigenous Guiding Principles, along with our frameworks for community healing, social and economic reform, leadership development, and systems transformation, are grounded in decades of lived experience, field-tested practice, and documented scholarship.

Consistent with our Elders' guidance to use the most effective tools available in each generation, Four Worlds may use advanced digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, as a technical aid for drafting, organizing, synthesizing, or refining written materials. The use of such tools does not constitute authorship of the underlying ideas, principles, models, or conclusions presented.

All substantive content, analytical frameworks, and positions attributed to Four Worlds originate from our established body of research, publications, and applied community-based work developed over more than four decades of Four Worlds research and implementation.

Artificial intelligence is employed solely as a communication and integration tool. It does not generate original principles, nor does it replace the authority of Elders, the integrity of community-derived knowledge, or the institutional scholarship of Four Worlds. All published materials remain the responsibility of Four Worlds and reflect its established principles, values, and research foundations.

Our commitment remains unchanged: any digital tool used in preparing our materials must serve the Sixteen Indigenous Guiding Principles and the longstanding mission of Four Worlds, and may not substitute for them.
