Forty-One Years of Four Worlds: Founded Beneath a Blood Moon

Forty-one years ago, on December 27, 1982, on the high plains of Southern Alberta, a momentous and historic event unfolded that is shaping the course of global human and community transformation —the founding of the Four Worlds International Institute.

In the winter of 1982, forty Indigenous elders and community leaders convened in a prayerful and ceremonial gathering from December 27-30, culminating in the launch of Four Worlds.

At the heart of this historic gathering was the all-night Pipe Ceremony, with a Sacred Pipe of Tȟašúŋke Witkó, Crazy Horse, held on December 29-30. This Sacred Ceremony coincided with the celestial beauty of a Total Lunar Blood Moon Eclipse in Cancer, 92 years after the Wounded Knee Massacre.

The convergence of this profound Indigenous ceremony with the astrological significance of a Total Blood Moon Eclipse added great spiritual depth, energy, and fulfillment of prophecy to the initiation of Four Worlds.

Across various cultures and belief systems worldwide, celestial events like the Total Blood Moon Eclipse have been regarded as powerful catalysts for transformation and evolution.

Astrologically, a lunar eclipse symbolizes a moment when Mother Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow and imbuing the Moon with a reddish hue called a "Blood Moon." This cosmic event is perceived as an auspicious time for seeking change and embracing personal or collective evolution.

The biblical allusion from Acts 2:20, “ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come,” describes celestial occurrences as signs preceding the day of the Lord, further enriching the symbolic tapestry of this event. While interpretations may vary, alignment with the Total Lunar Blood Moon Eclipse is a cosmic confirmation.

To the elders and spiritual leaders gathered this synchronicity continues to validate the profound and transformative nature of the Four Worlds Movement to unify our Human Family, End War, and Begin Peace on Earth.

During this pivotal gathering, the convergence of Indigenous wisdom, ceremonial practices, and celestial events underscored a harmonious blend of the spiritual and the cosmic. In biblical terms, the association with the apocalypse is not indicative of a catastrophic end but rather symbolic of a rebirth or transformation—a shedding of the old to pave the way for the new.

The creation of Four Worlds marked a profound shift in the human and community development landscape, ushering in a new era guided by Indigenous wisdom and spirituality.

This historical and global event serves as a Sacred Fire of Inspiration, highlighting the interconnectedness of earthly and celestial energies in shaping humanity's destiny.

Unifying our Human Family with kindness, love, Justice, and respect for All Life, fostering a positive global change, leading to the Lighting of the Eighth Fire and The Most Great Peace.
