Elder Bill Snow, an Oceti Sakowin relative whom I met at the Braiding Knowledges Canada Gathering, is leading this tremendous initiative, with the support of Braiding Knowledges Canada.
Another sign that our Indigenous peoples are arising again, as prophesied. The foundation of this support and partnership with the Government of Canada is a direct result of the great suffering of Indigenous children in Canada's Residential Schools, including 1000's of children recently found in unmarked graves across Canada.
This has led to the Federal Policy of reconciliation, which is the foundation and funding of Braiding Knowleges Canada. A great initiative and beautiful and inspiring video.
