Draft- Binding Planetary Peace Treaty to End War
Preamble
We, the undersigned representatives of the nations, Indigenous peoples, and faith communities of the world, gathered in unity and sacred purpose at Dim Sea Castle from July 18–20, 2025, under the spiritual guidance of the World Peace Gathering, do hereby declare and affirm this Binding Planetary Peace Treaty to End War.
In full awareness of our shared destiny and in reverence for the suffering endured by our Human Family, we commit to the sacred duty of ending war in all its forms. This Treaty is a covenant—both legal and spiritual—intended for submission to the United Nations General Assembly and to be honored by all who seek a world governed by peace, justice, and harmony with all life.
Article I: Renunciation of War
All signatories solemnly renounce war as an instrument of national policy. We declare that no grievance, dispute, or difference shall ever again justify the shedding of human blood. All disagreements shall henceforth be resolved by peaceful means—through diplomacy, cultural understanding, spiritual consultation, and international cooperation.
Article II: Disarmament and Demilitarization
We, the signatories, agree to the progressive, verifiable, and transparent reduction of military forces and weaponry worldwide. The vast resources currently consumed by militarization shall be redirected toward education, healthcare, housing, environmental restoration, Indigenous sovereignty, and sustainable development—honoring the sacred balance between humanity and Mother Earth.
Article III: Protection of Human Rights and Dignity
This Treaty affirms the sacredness of every human being. All signatories pledge to uphold the inherent rights and dignity of every member of our Human Family—regardless of race, gender, faith, age, or identity. We reject all forms of violence, persecution, colonial domination, and discrimination, and commit to the healing of historical traumas through truth-telling, forgiveness, and restorative justice.
Article IV: Global Cooperation and Solidarity
Recognizing that we are One Human Family, the signatories pledge to unite in addressing the critical challenges of our time—including climate change, poverty, pandemics, and forced displacement. In the spirit of Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ (All My Relations), we embrace the principle that the hurt of one is the hurt of all, and the healing of one is the healing of all.
Article V: Enforcement and Accountability
A Global Council for Peace and Justice shall be established, composed of equal representatives from nation-states, Indigenous Nations, spiritual traditions, civil society, and youth movements. This council shall oversee the implementation, verification, and evolution of this Treaty. Violations shall be addressed through nonviolent intervention, restorative processes, and sacred justice practices rooted in collective accountability and healing.
Article VI: Submission and Ratification
This Treaty shall be submitted to the United Nations General Assembly and opened for ratification by all nations, Indigenous peoples, and sovereign communities. It shall become binding upon ratification by a representative majority of the global community, and remain in effect as a living covenant, continuously affirmed through conscience, ceremony, and shared action.
Article VII: Sacred Duty to Our Animal Relatives and Mother Earth
We, the signatories, acknowledge our sacred responsibility to our animal relatives—beings who share with us the sacred Circle of Life. We recognize that animal exploitation, factory farming, and the global meat industry are leading contributors to climate change, biodiversity loss, rainforest destruction, water scarcity, and immense suffering.
We commit to the elimination of systemic cruelty toward animals and the phasing out of factory farming. We shall hold accountable the industries and governments that enable these harms. We will uplift compassionate, regenerative, and plant-based systems that restore the health of ecosystems and honor all life as sacred.
We affirm that true peace includes the animals, who have no voice in our assemblies but whose pain is etched upon the body of Mother Earth. In our compassion, we shall plant the seeds of spiritual renewal, ecological balance, and kinship with all living beings.
Closing Declaration
We offer this Treaty to the world not merely as policy, but as a sacred pledge, rooted in the prayers of our ancestors and the hopes of the generations yet unborn. Let this be the hour in which humanity turns from the path of destruction to the way of peace. Let us walk forward together—hand in hand, heart to heart, nation by nation, spirit by spirit—to usher in the promised Great Peace foretold in all spiritual traditions and Indigenous prophecies.
Let our collective voice rise as one:
No more war. No more violence. Only peace. For all beings. Forever.
